The only reason this wasn’t discussed much during the PTR was because the class design discussions were much louder and more pressing.
The user interface is an important part of the game experience and noone complained about the classic interface. This change is completely out of touch with the community and a major unnecessary loss of quality of life for a sizable portion of the player base.
People enjoy classic for various reasons and for many people this also specifically involves the UI.
Just to make clear why someone might prefer the old one over the new:
- The classic UI has far superior sorting options
- The classic UI is less spread out
- The classic UI is much cleaner
SOD might be a playground for stuff to be tested but sometimes tests are unnecessary because the results are already known. The target audience of any classic+ is specifically the group which is pushed over with this change.
I hope the devs will realize their obvious mistake.

Why would anybody ask for this change anyway? Players play ERA because of a simple reason. No changes. Well, no changes apart from minor ones. But this? It was good the way it was so why this again, Blizz?

Classical UI was so cozy. Berny was so happy to see it in 2019.

I do not understand why both cannot coexist. Just make it a toggle option, such a nobrainer. The fact that in 2024 we still have not gotten customizable UI and instead outsource it to 3rd party software is beyond my comprehension

Idk what people r u talking about I use Elvui from day one only change that I have seen is guild chat and complaining about that is just funny. Since even before change u never open guild window anyway. Since u will have gchat in regular chat and can inv people in grp from chat… So what is point of dooming about it 
Edit: I just turned off Elvui to see that changes u r talkin about and I cant see any except how much is outdated and old. Even on retail this is not current Ui
U never play classic at first place since all runes r actual retail abilities.
Lilinette probably plays classic era. Era is also affected by it
guild chat dont make any difference u still type in normal chat but there is catch now. People cant trash each other since all what is typed even if u r not online moment u go back can read all what was talked in back few days.
