I don’t know what have happened here, but i came back after a small break to do Alterac Valley yesterday, only to find NO AV’s was up. Today i found out you get more honor from AB and WSG marks? Why did this happen? I hope this will be fixed!

i understand AV is good for the rep rewards, but… do you pay 13e/month to rince and repeat Drek/Vanndar in 7min everyday all day??? or maybe less in SoD, i don’t know how long it takes there with the runes

They did it beacuse everyone was exalted with av, but wsg, ab ppl were not in phase 4. So people asked them to make ab relevant again so they did.
To be honest tho you kinda late if you trying doing avs. Sod is soon at its end phase.
SOD has been alt friendly, and Alterac Valley is a vital part of the game for alot of people. To change something vital late in game, when people has invested tons of hours into it, is just wrong in my opinion.
I know there are alot of newer players that want to rush everythin, but there is still some of us older players around that just want to play the game, and have fun. I dont get the rush mentality. You want to rush to get everything, and then what?
AV is nostalgia aswell. We used to throw snowballs in there during christmas lol =)

Move on. That is the answer. It’s the new tourist gamer type. Get BiS and perform the best vanishing act out there. Some barely even play in their BiS gear before disappearing.
To be fair AV was only one phase before they destroyed it. You think ppl dont make new toons?

I think people create alts, but wont bother eith avs.
Tbh i did enjoy AV from the moment i hit 51 on my one char i played that phase people still played AV.
After AB turned into the only good bg i have 3 toons who are exalted there now
Yeah also played avs to exalted and honor ranka when it was on its peak.
But you easily get burned out after a while. Running to other faction and afk oretty much😅
AV being doable in that little time is part of the problem in the first place.
AV used to be an iconic part of vanilla, but by 1.10 it was always nerfed to the ground. By 1.12 it’s a complete joke. One of the biggest mistakes of classic is that they just tossed in 1.12 AV without touching it up to be closer to what it was in 1.6
And then they added insult to injury by actually adding a version closer to old AV in retail for an event, proving that they have to means to fix classic AV, but they just don’t care
Dude i was exalted with the wsg faction in P3 already, those bracers were perfectly worth it.
But, i still need exalted with AV on my mage and warlock!!
