Please revert the Blazing Wing's nerf

The Blazing Wing’s are glorious to behold but to my dismay, I found out that they has decided to nerf them,

At first i thought it was custom for them to only allow 50% uptime for every toy, But i recently discovered that some toys get a free pass and basically last forever.

For example the Faded Wizard Hat, Kalythas Haunted Locket and Burgy Blackhearts Handsome Hat,

I can understand them nerfing it in the first week of its release due to the heavy amount of usage it had back then, But now since the people using it have dropped by quite a bit, I think its fair to consider at the very least a 30 minute cooldown and a 30 minute uptime.

I stand here asking nay begging for them to reconsider their stance on this one toy since i absolutely enjoy every second using it.

Found these comments on wowhead, as I couldn’t remember the original duration. It appears from the time the entry was made and the edit, three years passed roughly.

Some information about Blazing Wings, after having tested them.

  • 60 Minute cooldown. 30 Minute cooldown

  • 60 Minute duration. 15 Minute duration.

  • Cooldown is character based, not account based.

  • Persists through logout.

  • Does not persist through death.

  • Removed on shapeshift.

  • Does persist through usage of items like Orb of the Sin’dorei

  • Is not removed while mounted.

A far cry from the 10 second duration, 20 minute cooldown items of Cata like Bones of Transformation. Aaaand they’ve ruined it.

I’m not sure why they are always seeking to reduce the duration of effects from toys.

The red appears as strikethrough text on the site, but appears red here for some reason.

It feels like they’ve completely forgotten the toys existence and other then sending a suggestion ingame or posting on the forums i’ve got no idea what i can do to get this message to them.

Fun detected, fun removed.
In a game that needs so much fixing, they focus on nerfing cosmetic toys

+1.

I really wish they did some rethinking about the ridiculous duration vs cooldown ratio. It’s incredibly disappointing that toys, by definition made for fun, are constantly getting more and more nerfed. I’m an avid collector when it comes to most things, and yet at this point I genuinely struggle to care for WoW toys. I don’t go out of my way to get them, and use like 2% of toys I have available.

I don’t get it, Blizzard–does it really hurt you to let people use togglable effects? Is being able to run around with a pair of fiery wings really that bad? It just feels unnecessarily. I’m not a fan of the “fun detected” meme, but in this situation it really begs to be used…

It sucks and there is no reason to do this…

Blizzard does not want you to have too much fun.
