Both Frostfire and Sunfury is in a terrible state dps-wise. They are 30% behind on dps on the other mage specs since the latest nerfs and the damage of the spec is literally competing with tank dps at the moment…by far the worst performing dps spec in the game right now.
I know that at the moment launch is more important and takes priority but this has been the case for weeks and just wanted to make a post so maybe it gets on the radar of the devs if it wasn’t already on it 
Fire itself needs a good looking at. I know combustion is our major cool down, but they need to look at Ignite and Living Bomb.
The procs are weird and there is no flexibility with the tree. So, this impacts on both Hero talents.
At least you are not bm hunters. We have been below average for the better part of the last 2 expansions in damage and i wont even talk about survivability and utility.

You do realise that the fact that another class or spec has it worse means absolutely nothing right? If anything the fact that other classes and specs are also in a terrible state means we should be banding together and demanding better of the developers rather than enter into a contest with each other to see who can be the most aggrieved section of the playerbase.

As for fire, yep this is a pretty much dump kind of spec right now. It’s always been that way when stats are getting squished and fire just lucks soooo much mastery to be relevant. Fear not, until they rework fire mastery there will be a time in s3 (or 4) when fire due to stat stacking will just blow everything out of the water.
That being said, I am with you and i do feel you, especially when fire spec is your thing. Unfortunately, somebody well educated once said: “players are great at identifying problems, they’re just not as great as providing a solution.”
I guess what I’m trying to say is, keep your chin up!
