Plenty of time to fix covenants now

Because they knew what would happen if they said up front “No flying in BFA”. See? Sociopathy. Rational thinking, not giving a crap about anyone else, and manipulating others for some personal gain.

Time played/money squeezed out of players while the corp says they’re busy “developing Shadowlands”

Neither the first nor likely the last time I’m confronted with people who see, just don’t observe. Well, guess what happens then? They’re proven wrong - ALL of them. As they’ve been wrong about AP grind, RNG Legiondaries, Azerite, Essences, Expulsom, Corruptions, pathetic attempts to drain gold out of economy that end up inconveniencing new players and don’t touch the goblins in the slightest, and other failed ideas that were pushed through to live despite not deserving a second in beta testing phase.

These things are all borrowed power, system on top of broken system (class/spec) that is somehow to fix it. Despite just being put on top of it to mask its many shortcomings. And then comes the end of expansion, these things are taken away, and you see that the basic system still sucks because its problems were not addressed in any way - just hidden. And this borrowed power just happens to be insanely RNG-dependent, grindy, unfun, basically requiring us to re-grind what we already had just to get to former relative power vs something.

Yeah, think these crappy things were fun? I don’t.

And, y’know, some people’s vision reaches longer than the end of their nose. It’s also called analytical intelligence combined with some imagination. I’m sorry if you’re not one of those people, but don’t worry, 9.1 will fix it! Then 9.2! Or 9.3! 9.3.5 tops! Oh well, if your problems aren’t fixed by then, don’t worry, 10.0 will fix them! Only question is, how long will you be a blind believer continuing to pay?

Its actualy not truth, calculate possiblities and possible combos better, to me necrolord looks very powerfull… again learn to live with pros and cons, evry covenant got situations where it gonna shine and where it gonna not shine, there is no such a perfect covenant… Skill is to overcome odds with what you got, not with perfect array, being perfect vs anyhting is acutaly stuff of low skill

It’s rather convenient that you’re right all the time and anyone who disagrees is wrong, especially when you made up this undefined standard of success.
I can see how from your bubble it can seem like you’re winning, when nobody else knows your rules.

You and your numbers…utility can never be shown by numbers, yet it beat the numbers if used proper… Make your own build and enjoy, instead being sheep who follow the guides which is writen by guy who is maybe less experienced than you…

Except its not a guide, its a spreadsheet on how they perform and non only numbers are taken into account.

Case in point this quote form the doc:
“9/24/20: I’ve decided to bump Necrolord down from Mediocre to Bad, specifically for Blood DKs. This isn’t due to any actual changes, but honestly it’s a long overdue ranking change. The damage is still pitiful compared to the other two options, but it also offers no survivability and can even screw you over in Mythic+, which makes it even worse for Blood DKs in particular.”

That’s because you don’t play a DK. If you did, you’d know they have BIG mobility problem, not “not enough Death Grips” problem. Or any survivability problem, they’re still quite tough provided they can hurt something. And do you think a tank will channel Fleshcraft in front of the boss, when being hit by it? Are you crazy? XD

It’s what works and at the end of the day what wins the battle is what wins the battle.

I’m usually right. Been wrong about SL being delayed, I’d bet they would push it through anyway no matter what as it’s what big corp would do, being a big corp spending more money on lawyers than programists. Been dead right about lot of other things though. Sorry to not meet your exacting standards of being locked in some bubble. Have to say I have no idea wtf you mean by “undefined standard of success”. Isn’t it manifestly clear to you? A thing either turns out to be true, or not, or something in between which means not being completely true. What, couldn’t you just see where RNG fiesta will lead? Or that Corruptions doing in extreme cases more than 50% output will be HATED because of convoluted, untransparent, profoundly RANDOM way of obtaining them as opposed to being available to buy for some currency that was NOT Echoes, at vendor whose inventory was NOT rotated on timetable? Where was your intuition, or in the case of it being on vacation, where were your observational & analytical skills? It’s not that hard, really. Try it sometimes.

Also have a nice report as your posts do contain some baaad words and personal attacks. Unless it’s just bad wording and worse English grammar…

Not sure if this guy would know a number if it jumped out of his monitor and bitten him. The way he’s writing, I’d suspect some school accidents involving math, grievous bodily harm, and failed grades because counting is difficult to some people. Then again, I’m known to occasionally be wrong, so who knows?

You’re confusing confidence in your delusions with observational and analytical skills. The standards i’m talking about aren’t about what’s true, they’re about the features you mentioned where being a critic gives the benefit of assimilate other people’s issues as your own, again very convenient.
What you think it’s right, or a “fix” is completely arbitrary and ultimately pointless, personally i think the corruption vendor was a dumb and lazy idea, regardless of what it offers and what currency it uses. The problem is that you can’t see how pointless those standards are and continue to judge people’s preference based on it.

i dont think anyone would argue that, but thats yet again a bandaid fix for something blizzard themselves created.

Do point me to where exactly I’m deluded, and about what. Hard evidence, please, as you seem to be inordinately fond of talking about it as opposed to presenting it.

So we’re moving the goalposts already from things being objectively true to me “assimilating other people’s issues as my own, we are the critic, resistance is futile”? That was one quick backstep dodge. Are you sure your main isn’t Tahra?

Of course, ultimately everyone knows the current edition of borrowed power has to go the way of dinosaurs, so it won’t matter anymore. And yes, I’m completely arbitrary about Covs in a way that would leave you free to choose whatever you wish to use. Come and see the violence inherent in the system! Help, help, you’re being repressed!

Better than 100% multilayered RNG: 1) slot 2) item 3) some extra stat maybe, +socket if possible 4) desired corruption 5) correct amount of that corruption. All over which you have exactly ZERO control over. With trinkets etc. you at least could “target” something with seals or just farm it until it drops. With corruption you had no such chance, just grind, grind, grind some moar.

Stop right there. Just say that you don’t care about any other player but yourself and you’re not even particularly discerning about that. Playing Warlock you of all people should know why it was catastrophically bad idea to sell corruptions for ECHOES, the one currency 1-role chars and decked out people COULD NOT GAIN AT ALL. Because it was meant to be spent on something else and when you got the full suit of Essences, you didn’t need any more Echoes.
Timed rotation was just another timegating block to keep hamsters running in their wheels some more and another middle finger in the face of people who couldn’t gain Echoes before the inventory was changed. I wouldn’t mind if Echoes were infinitely grindable, but they weren’t, or if everyone started from 0, but some people were stocking up just for being able to play more than 1 role. Thus tons of angry altoholics who couldn’t afford corruptions on their MAINS because they had 0 Echoes, while having a ton of them on alts. Did you skip that? Or just didn’t care?

Dear boy/girl, I would never say that having standards is pointless. Also it does occur to me that you don’t know what these standards of mine are. As you said…

yet you seem opposed to them based on lofty indeed principle of them being mine. The very reason for which our cave-dwelling ancestors were braining each other with rocks and animal bones! So noble a cause!
And you do professed that you believe them pointless, and also in the very same sentence speak about me using them to “judge people’s preference”. So you, in fact, admit that my unknown, stealthy standards do have a point - judging people. Let’s allow for a moment that’s the extent of those well-hidden standards of mine as you seem to not be up to the task of discussion and require me being heavily handicapped to not be roflstomped.

You seem to be undecided whether to attack me on front of “being delusional” by which you seem to understand “seeing a thing 10 times and recognizing its signs when it comes for 11th time” (as if it was some magical ability that Muggles like yourself don’t get), or to try aiming at those elusive standards of mine, about which you don’t know 1) if they exist 2) if they DO exist, what are they 3) what purpose do they serve 4) what they really do 5) if charging at them isn’t making you seem like Don Quixote fighting windmills. Spoiler here: It does. All of this while you really have no idea on what criteria I’m really “judging” people. I shall give you a hint: It involves, among other things, doing something that in this thread, for the time being, you have not done even once.

As I’m big on letting people suffer consequences of their ill-considered decisions so they can understand why exactly they’ve been wrong, well, you can believe whatever you wish, that Shadowlands are the very best thing since invention of sliced bread, that impossible to balance Covenants somehow will not lead to increased disparity between “top” and “bottom” performing specs, that Soulbinds and Conduits are somehow not Azerite 2.0 and relics after rebranding. I know what I know. In the end, one of us shall be right, and the other one shall be wrong. And then I’m going to say: I told you so. And cackle maniacally while tenting my fingers, as the people of wealth and taste are wont to.

Another of the series of ActiBlizz’s patented “compromises” aka the rotten ones, in which nobody is satisfied: Players got vendor, but its inventory was on timetabled rotation, they could buy, but for currency some could never gain before. Really, not putting Corruptions in live game would be easier, just look at all those problems it caused that required more and more fixes. Oh, and enjoy a short wall of text in the evening. No liver with Chianti yet though

Well I dont play DK but I play with them and against them in Arena… It has mobility issues yet its strongest class in game if his target is pined down… and again we come to same conclusion: you cannot have sheeps and money in same time… Evry class has its pros and cons, thats how it must be with talents, thats how it must be with covenant… use your advantages in your favor, yet deal with consequences of your flaws and make them minor with your gameplay skills.

Ovarall skilled player will always know how to use his advantages to win, yet he will also know his limitations and play around them to bring victory…its skill in its purest form… i cant understand why you cannot accept it, and want to be perfect for anyhting, really just scrap this topic and go create topic: “Remove talent system gief us all because we gonna respec before evry pull anyway”, you guys just have very wrong stance toward gaming…

And again this is how this work in RL… no one of us is perfect for anyhting right? Did you ever catched girl in bar who is above you 3x levels, like miss grade girl? If you didnt impress her with your beauty you impressed her with something else right? and this is called skill, you used your pros in your advantages yet you play around your cons…somehing which anyone with normal sanity gonna respect.

Same is with sports… Which guy you gonna respect more? : Guy who got Perfect condition to train and get silver medal… or guy who was injured for 3 years and come back onlympics and pwned guy with perfect training contidion? Beside this guy come from country while conditions for his training was awfull… see this is called skills, this si somehting which makes people respect you, being perfect and do stuff is not worth of respect
