The couple new abilities that were added are great but …
Can we get a different map next time around? If you plan to keep re-using the event, it would be a worthwhile investment.
Also, I would like to see something akin to Plunderstorm in the actual game within wow’s standard gameplay.
Something like an Epic Battleground where instead of:
80 people fighting as 2 teams of 40, there are
78 players fighting as 26 teams of 3 (2 DPS, 1 Healer)
The last team standing wins.
If you die, you don’t ressurect, you are out of the match and have to queue again.
There could still be objectives we know from other BGs that could give you some sort of advantage …
But this is just a 5-minute idea, it could be a lot more refined if it were given more time.
Because it creates more toxicity and the game has enough of that already.
Competition breeds toxicity because humans, when it gets down to it, are tribalists by nature.
And…
Becomes hard when the reward is something you want.
Not in my view.
It creates irritation and disappointment.
Might as well not exist for me. I don’t even look at them, because why would I?
As long as they do it like they do now, where you can earn all the rewards just from ‘grinding’ it, then I’m good.
But as soon as they would start linking rewards to ‘rankings’ that’s when I start screaming foul.
You mean so much value, that when SS came out majority of the player base jumped ship?
premade arena in glad range is the same handful of teams quing into each other… It only creates “value” for people thinking people that see them with the mount thinks they are awesome
If you ask any high end PVP player, I would bet almost anything that they would trade having glad mounts for having a balanced and fun game mode any day of the week
a ranked system makes the content infinite, because it makes you want to play, even if there are no rewards (loot/hf etc), but the rewards also make you want to invest. Same for the new features
And there’s so many sets in the game that I personally wouldn’t even recognize such a set. Not to mention the fact that I couldn’t care less what someone else wears on their character: I care about what MY character wears and that I like it.
So it actually does the opposite. If it’s fun and available; people will play it. THAT is ‘infinite’.
What is considered ‘pretty’ is subjective.
And I can only speak for myself, but no matter what mount they put in ranked PvP, I’m not going to participate. Period.
I’m not going to go through what amounts to ‘torture’ for me just for a mount.
Something I dislike; maybe. But not something that makes me hate the world and everyone in it (which is what PvP does to me - especially when you’re trying to attain a ‘rank’ for a reward).
