i am really excited to try out Plunderstorm. i am not much for Battle Royal, but this format looks really good. i LOVE that this game mode will reward you in the main game. having something different like this available to do during Patch downtimes, or when your friends are not online would be really benefitial to the health of WoW.
and this makes me wonder : If this is a success, simplified Modes like Plunderstorm would work great on Consoles. Wouldn’t it be awesome to be able to jump in the couch, fire up your console and earn rewards for your wow account while playing a different side of WoW ?
Could this lead to testing PVP Arenas in a lobby like format like this Plunderstorm ?
i feel like this Event is a Gateway to so many possibilities for World of Warcraft.

I suspect this patch might just eclipse the SELFIE patch in the zeit-gheist of WoW.
Except for that was a Major patch early in an expansion and this is a minor one quite late.
They are so incredibly close with finishing the native gamepad support…
It’s still tucked away behind a console command and got zero native gamepad UI to navigate with, fix those and it would pretty much be feature complete.
Only other thing i would have liked to see is rotate-assist for combat (like in ffxiv when you attack you will automatically turn towards a foe) but then that would undoubtedly be exploited for pvp (Though could probably disable it for pvp content).
I wouldnt mind it coming to consoles as long as consoles get their own dedicated servers and dont mingle with pc players.
Also i want it to come out on the nintendo switch so i could play it on the go. But yeah if it comes to consoles the switch will likely not be included or years later like any pc to console port
Play some other game then? Why do we want random irrelevant minigames in an MMO? Add content that is relevant to the fing game instead… Yes. I am fing triggered right now.
Except some near button zero specs, many other require more buttons, or redesign all specs to near zero buttom, which will only cause to lose the meaning to have 13 class.
You dont play it in wow though, so it kinda is a standalone thing. You dont use your characters from wow, no specs. You just choose your race and get dropped in and pick up your abilites in the match. From what i could see it was 7 buttons in total.
Absolute failure,joke,porly designed mode.
Cant compare to any br game like warzone,pubg,fortnite,apex,hunt showdown even br mobile games are better.
Who ever thinks this is good after 2,3 games you will be washed.
That isn’t the goal, either. This is a temporary “just for fun” mode that will be here for just a few weeks. They’re not trying to compete with actual Battle Royale games.
I think as a class-less, action-oriented, 7-button experiment, this is interesting. Watching the streams, it looks fun for a few days. I’ll probably enjoy Plunderstorm more than dedicated BR games because it lacks any real competitive aspect (no leaderboards, ratings, etc). It’s just for mindless fun.
