Hello, returning player here o/
I am almost max level and only did the same dungeon because i have not done a quest.
I cannot do it anymore (the first dungeon) I think i am too high level, so i only battleground.
I like to explore and do quests as they come and be queued for battleground and dungeon.
Its very bad, I cannot explore anything and only focus 1 quest to unlock content.
Big plus to make Wintergrasp and Ashran battleground map and give flying to WoD, i love flying in WoD so much 
What dungeon are you talking about? Need more context, as your post gives no meaning.

Theres no quests to unlock dungeons.
You can queue for all normal dungeons in the dungeon finder even at 60. I have it up, I am 60 and I can see plaguefall on the list under normal dungeons to join.
Press I to open the dungeon finder, click on the drop down menu in the right side. Where you can choose random normal or heroic dungeons, or choose specific dungeons to que for.
If you cant join heroic dungeons just yet, you are too low item level and need to play normals a bit longer, or buy gear on AH to push you over the mark for heroic.
But if you still are leveling in Shadowlands, more dungeons becomes available as you level up.
Not for me.
They are all locked with message “You have not completed the required quest”
Edit: Also tried to do the quest but its not available untill you reach that point in story, and thats alot quests
Have you entered Shadowlands at all?
I think unless you’re leveling Fate, the dungeons will be locked behind story quests.
