Podtender gamebreaking bug

Hi, there is a bug with the Podtender ability from Dreamweaver in the Night Fae Covenant. If you manage to somehow wipe in a dungeon and the ability pops, then you die again in the pod, then you are unable to move or do anything for 10 minutes. Imagine being in a mythic or a raid and that happens, especially as a tank. You cannot hearth, shapeshift, be summoned. Logging out into another character and back in doesn’t fix it either. Closing the game doesn’t fix it. /reload also does not work.

This is a repost because I originally posted this in the wrong section, apologies.

Just experienced this myself. Tried to relog but the game keeps auto-booting you out.

Will have to use another Soulbind until this is fixed, as it is, it is unplayable.

While playing, when I try to enter with my character, he even enters but immediately throws the game disconnected, I can’t log in after that because I only get the error message, it’s shadowland venety main quest line part after the giant when he folds.

Hello Libiason,

Thank you for bringing this up. With regards to bug reports (or suggestions), they cannot be addressed by Customer Support or via the forums. These should be submitted in game by following the steps outlined here.

Thanks!

Not shure if this is the correct place to post this, since i have never reported a bug before. But i have on several occasions experienced a bug with the “Podtender” soulbind ability. When a killing blow is dealt and my Guardian druid is in the “Cocoon”, whenever i do not survive the 10 sec stun, I am permanently stunned even after resurrecting. I cannot move, shapeshift, anything. Even dying a second time, having the healer relocate me, did not resolve the permanent stun. Neither did the the “Character stuck” functionality that you have.

The first time this happened nothing but time helped. The second time, i could resolve it by logging out and back in.

This is a minor annoyance, It can be apparently be resolved by logging in and out. But that is kinda really annoying having to do that if I wipe.

Saw someone post this on the US forums as well. Could not find it here in the EU forums

Yes, I can confirm this, as I am Guardian Druid too and if they destroys my cocon while I m in Bear form, I ll be stunned.

It seems, that problem is not Podtender itself, but interaction with Shapeshift in Cocon. When I tried to die without the form, it worked correctly.

Dreamweaver is really strong Soulbinder early on, but this bug is just … Really bad. Hope it ll be fixed, by the time when M+/Raid opens.

Cheers

I’ve experienced this as well. I’ve raised a bug report, and thought it might be due to me changing soulbind and using podtender, but only bothered googling it this morning. Nice to see it’s not just me, and is a known issue now. I can confirm the same situation - dying in cocoon as bear.

First time, the only fix I found was having a guildie duel me (after a stuck character move) and using fear to force me to move.

Second time, I had to log for ~30 minutes.

Yesterday, I managed to get out of it by logging off and on again, but that wasn’t guaranteed to work every time (from reading above perhaps it was a timing issue related to the depleted shell timer running out?).

Think I’ll just switch soulbinds until it is fixed. It’s not nice forcing an instance group to wait while you mess around trying to un-stun yourself!

Looks like it’ll be fixed:

Fixed an issue where Podtender ( Soulbind ) would sometimes stun the player after dying and releasing.

not fixed… not at all… just wasted 1h in Torghast as on Floor 5 my wife died while in Podtender . Nothing helped. At the moment she is standing on the graveyard in Westfall . Last chance is a tip with Duell…

And reaching support or help? Nothing… every f***cking link goes to “go to forum” or “Go to wowhead” … support is none existing anymore.

Hi

Now I just spend a long time running torghast, thought the podtender was fixed, but guess what, I am now stuck in stunned bug on layer 14.
I really hope you guys are soon going to fix the issue that has been known for weeks on end. - this ruins gameplay and I am now forced to leave my 14 floor torghast and relog to my alt.

thank you so much for fixing this next reset…
