MOONLIT MOTHER – a background story poem.
Moonlit mother, after your vigil,
that lasted a thousand years.
The child now born in your sigil,
has brought you happy tears.
Moonlit mother, in wintery springs,
guarding The Gem from strife.
Fear you what the Shattering brings,
as the Hederine claim your life?
Moonlit mother, in shadowy lands,
do you know the end of the gloom?
When my druid dies to hold my hands,
and make our Alor’el bloom.
Moonlit mother, as time goes by,
will he join you ever soon?
We will hear him cry, our daughter and I,
and take him to Elune.

You make me think of old folksongs with this
Do I read it correctly:
It’s a poem about an elf joining the service of Elune because of the occurences in the world?
Or is it a death poem?
