Why is Healing stream totem 30 sec cd & Healing tide totem 3 minutes when they do the exact same?

Healing Stream totem heals 5 people for a smaller amount, Healing Tide totem heals the entire raid for a bigger amount. How is that the exact same?

ah i never noticed that, i thought both healed the entire raid

well you could argue:

  1. they are the same in a 5 man environment
  2. they are both absolute trash, while 2 stack 30s cd would be acceptable but the 3min cd healing tide is a sad version of days that are past :frowning:

I wish healing tide was better in 5 man, but its pretty strong in raid. Otherwise people wouldn’t be running Vision of Perfection on every fight.

This is why i wanted to know, i was curious if i should’ve bothered going for vision of perfection as major, i ended up doing so ^^

I only use vision of perfection for most if not all raid encounters and mainly in raid content only. Healing Tide is just too insignificant for 5-man content, even if vision of perfection would proc when you actually need it it still wouldnt have made a difference for 5-man content.

Keep in mind I meant using Vision as major essence and not as minor (I guess the proc adds a lot of healing during a raid encounter) :slight_smile:

Healing totems ignore line of sight when they project their healing. Its a fact not many seem aware of. In the grand scheme of things it isn’t that useful… but it has its moments.

point is 5k (or whatever) ticks on 400-800k HP pools are kinda of a joke

A few k healing per tick that adds up to several million healing during a raid fight. Not too shabby imo. It all adds up.

Is it worht Rank 3? Since I got Rank 2, but got a bit tired of doing mech. runs with people that still don’t know how to play it :smiley:

again, yes for raids it more or less ok, while these numbers will also not change too much. But in 5er or pvp this totem is more like a filler on a 3 min cd that does absolutely nothing. 0.1% of total healing 3min cd btw

Healing stream and searing totem was removed for good reasons, they simply do too little and contribute to button bloat.
