Poisons dropping off when swapping weapons

Obviously not an issue if you only have one set of weapons, but if you swap your weapon for any reason currently, all active poisons drop from that weapon, even if you re-equip it before they were due to expire.

Now I could see the point of this if we could put poisons on other peoples weapons or share them in any way (outside the victim being stabbed obviously). : )

But as it stands, its lazy coding, plain and simple.

It also makes swapping to the legendary fishing rod and then back to normal weapons aggravating.

This could easily be fixed if we could just be allowed to put our poisons on our weapons like back in the day. We could still have buffs, but they would just show whether or not we currently have the poisons on our weapons. It’s a much smarter (and cooler) system than just having poison be buffs.

What was cool about that too was that you could have crippling on one, dmg on offhand. And then a secondary offhand for wound poison or w/e our anti-heal poison was called. Swapping them out at will mid-fight was a nice option to have.

Also you will lose poisons upon entering instances and leaving them, so keep in mind!
