I’m pretty sure it’s against the TOS.
I believe it’d be in everyone’s best interest to severely limit our freedom of speech when it comes to such matters.

It will stop being talked about when it stops being pushed in the game. Blizzard obviously wanted us to take note of their woke garbage with the new expansion, they got their wish.

Bit of a harsh way to go about it, I’d sooner say pick your platforms.
You wouldn’t start talking about the big dump you took one day that made it in the guinness book of world records on your first date for example.

Press X for doubt. People even went ballistic about Pelagos that required you to click on him during a specific point of the leveling and then click on “tell me more” and actually read it. People will always find stuff to complain about, equip their tinfoil hats, and go into reeee mode.
It involves the game as such as its a grey area. Censoring it in your proclaimed form will only cause another poopstorm.

Not really.
Everything can be linked to the game with the right phrasing and arguments.
At the end of the day, politics are politics, they’re against the TOS and therefore, the Law must be enforced at any cost.
I also thought they just wanted to be sneaky about it at first. But they have gone so far that the game even needs to be censored in parts of the world like the Russian client because of legal reasons.
There is no more denying it anymore, World of Wokecraft has become a walking pride parade.

They are talking about the npcs in the game however and everything they are tied to. I dont agree with them but they are still operating in a grey area.
law =/= tos. And Blizzard is also free to ignore their own tos which they do more often than not anyway. And a grey area is pretty much every GMs personal decision unless a official bluepost was made.
I can effectively ignore every single one of the NPCs that are being targeted. Including Pelagos given his background story isnt brought up during the story at all outside of that dialogue option during leveling at one specific point.
Ye im afraid Russia as far as their government is concerned has no say in the matter at all. This goes for every country. Insignificant regime that only has yapping dogs in charge.

Social media and Hollywood did their best to make many people “allergic” to some things one way or another.
In the case of WoW, most of these things are changes are so inert that people would not even bat an eye for if they have not been sensitized to detect and react to certain things
