really hoping we can get some clarity on this moving forward, only a few weeks back Mirage Raceway was sat at around 40-45% horde population, we’ve always had a lower population percentage in comparison to alliance players, but since the pre patch announcement, the horde population has been on a steady decline, in the last few days dropping below 30% (29.3%) as of 10 minutes ago, a few of the horde player base are bit concerned with the panic transfers and the knock on affect this is having on not only our economy which has completely crashed, but our community and world “immersiveness”, its particularly got me and a few others worried about what this means for the future of raiding, pvp, socialising, forming groups and the future of our server.
Blizzard we are pleading to you, on our knees to help fix not just our realms but all the other realms across EU experiencing exactly the same issues as we are, we dont want to be another casualty in the ever growing list of servers (Firemaw, Gehennas, Golemagg, Everlook, Pyrewood, Earth Shaker) i know auberdine are having a very similar issue at the moment, as are Lakeshire, Sulfuron and Venonix, it wont be long until these servers completely collapse and we join the list in parentheses above.
if the population continues to take a nose dive it wont be long until this server dies and is completely one faction dominated, the more the population drops on one side, the more people jump ship and it just starts snowballing out of control, making it near impossible for those of us who love this server to continue playing with the community and player base we have grown so accustomed too.
i dont know what the solution is, i dont know how we can fix it, part of me wants the player base to stand up and refuse to let our servers die, but another part of me wants to say "whats the point, maybe the only solution is a server that we as a community decide we will always keep 50/50 so we can always protect each other, but i doubt that will happen as recent history has proven this community doesn’t want to be a part of that, people just want the easy route, and to join the biggest pop servers with the highest faction domination to avoid this very thing happening, but we dont all want to do this, some of us want to stay in the servers we call home.
