Positivity thread. Things we love about dragon flight

There seems to be a lot of negativity in the forums, nothing unusual there, but lets hear all the things you’re enjoying about dragon flight.

I’ve been playing WoW for over a decade and I love the lore and stories. I’m really enjoying the plot, the detail on side quest and the wholesome feeling of this expansion. I’ve only been able to play a bit due to the working week but the amount of cut scenes I’ve had in a short time is amazing. It feels really immersive and the discussions I’ve had with my friends who play have been very positive, everyone is enjoying the inclusive and emotional content so far.

As someone who was sceptical about this expansion I’m very happy so far and enjoying the new updated feel to the game.

What have you all enjoyed so far ?

Less World Quests and chores in general.

  1. Dragonriding go brrrr
  2. Centaurs being such caring people saying “Have you eaten?” and “Get some rest.”
  3. Alliance and Horde wholesomely cooperating in the Dragonscale Expedition rather than the factions finding another convoluted reason to fight

The dialogue options in a book you have to fill when you arrive to the isles.
Made me laugh irl

Other than that not sure yet, haven’t reach max level.

Ive just cried twice on 2 quest chains coz Im getting so invested in the storylines!

Firstly with the story of the DF MVP Taivan. As a huge doggo fan seeing him find his true calling just got me in the feels.

Secondly with the belf and human buddies in the Ruins of Karnthar quest chain. No spoilers but I couldnt believe the ending and it just made me so sad.

Im probably going to hit 70 before Im a quarter of the way through Azure Span because I am really enjoying finding all these little side quests.

Quests like Stay a While with Veritistrasz. Man that hit hard in the feels. When will Blizz learn to leave our feels alone instead of shattering them like this :frowning: I have a feeling our hearts will be a mess when we finish Dragonflight.

But it’s stuff like that, that has made me really enjoy the game.

So far there is nothing I dislike, but to be fair I am a bit of a pollyanna and I haven’t really overly disliked an expansion since I started playing during the midst of BC. The game has just grown and adapted, and my gaming needs have grown and adapted as well.

This time, myself and my Hubby have decided we are going to try not to use Wowhead and similar sites and just bumble about accidentally and experimentally discovering things and not really pay attention too closely to the mechanics of questing and levelling…

Just to play for the pure, unfettered joy of it all, so far we are having a blast!!
Just this evening I was happily in the midst of a quest and realised I had fulfilled the criteria but hadn’t realised as I was immersed in the world and just playing!!

so yes, definitely positive!!!

I think you’ll find that’s a Negative.

There are a lot of great things about DragonFlight:

Great Dungeons
Great Questing Experience
Not Shadowlands
Dragon Riding has made the game feel completely different and is amazingly fun.

But there are a few negative which if Blizzard had just prepared for would have made the experience that much more enjoyable.

Auction House is broken - Cross Realm AH really did do it dirty.
Work Orders is a completely trash system.
Professions Specialisation has really let the new system down.
Also removing World Quests as a daily reset just seems like a really silly idea.
Oh and then all the Calamity on Launch night.

Some of those things Blizz really should have seen coming and prepared for in advance. And it’s that lack of preparation for what the players new to expect is what is so disappointing.

Im enjoyn df. A lot of things to do. But we’ll see in 3 months, when i normally lose interest in an exp.
But by now im having good time.

Wdym?

Well people like to feel self-sufficient when it comes to professions. They like to be able to craft everything they need on their own. This stops people from doing that, unless they use another Character with the same profession… like I have done.

I love the envirolent. The music. The feeling of vibrant life. Have only done two zones but so far I enjoyed the quests.
I absolutly adore the saber cats and bakar dogs. Ohh snd the peacocks and ducks. This expansion feels like a BM hunter dream come true

For the most part, DF has been great so far.

It’s just that no matter what, people will always point out more of what’s missing or wrong when discussing.

If you’ve been a forum/game moderator, the best thing to do is to take a step back, and mostly compare the “number” of complaints, unique and otherwise, before doing an assessment.

This is why the saying “no news is good news” comes from. Usually when something is quiet, it’s because the players are actually more distracted playing.

Example: When the servers were down on launch, there was an explosion of posts, which soon died down the minute they went back up.

Honestly depends on what you like, I hate lots of daily chores. It means I don’t have time to do fun things. So for me less WQs is good.
