Possibilities for wow 2

Indeed!

:dracthyr_nod:

Correct. And if it gets deleted while we still care about it, don’t think we will jump to WoW 2 or in fact any Activision-Blizzard game, since there will be a precedent.

Even Sega managed to switch the game engine of their own MMO without losing a single collectible from the ā€œoldā€ engine.

I’d love to see an RPG in the same vein as BG3, set in the Warcraft universe.
Just better camera and controls than that game please.

The combat in that game made me not want to play it. I just want a Witcher style game.

Why would have to be deleted?
Both games can to exist along side. Presumably, if theoretical WoW2 is to happen ā€œWoW1ā€ can to stay online just without new updates.

Same. That’s why I used a heavily modded version of the game.

But everything I have gathered for the last two decades is in WoW 1. I don’t want to just pick up a new thing and be cut off from the old.

The only way this would be acceptable is if they fully import the entire game. All of it is still available.

Don’t ask me, @Breaths says it will.

Didn’t play that game. In olden times I would have. I played the original Baldur’s Gate games. I played Neverwinter’s Night and the really old (90s) Eye of the Beholder games.
I played the first two Dragon Age games too. Really enjoyed those.

Last time I tried a different game was when I took a break in WoD (when they announce Flying was going away) and that was The Witcher. Couldn’t get to grips with the controls or camera either.

Playing WoW so long I’m just so used to the movement, the cameras, the feel of it. Things like /tar and seeing where the target is on minimap.
So when my wow days come to an end (not too far away) my gaming days will also end.

What a coincidence, I am using that transformation toy right now while farming Kurenai reputation!

We having too many things is one of the problems of the current client.

For new players is overwhelming, and for existing players it’s the case of : oh, another mount… meh.

Oh, that is extremely easy to solve! Introduce stuff little by little and not everything at once. It’s not a game engine or game version issue.

My opinion is that most issues with the current engine are technical and revolve around the combination of much of WoW being single-threaded and lots of calculations taking place per second.

I got the Ragnaros mount this week in Firelands and whilst it wasn’t exactly meh, I can’t say it was popping bubbly wine time either.

What happened under my post

Is there actually a way round that combat?

Same here. I don’t remember when i was excited last time. I have so many items in my small compared to others collection that everything lost value.

I disagree. I don’t see how it’s overwhelming. They can choose where to start and most collectors are happy to advise. Even long term collectors don’t try to get everything at once.

I love getting new mounts still even though I have loads. I make a beeline for them.

Wiping out that collection and shutting off the ability to go back and get anything is offputting for new and old.

About a mount specifically?
For me it was the bear mount from the shop.
I LOVE that thing (and it’ll be getting a lot of use in Undermine, I guess).

I wish bears in the game would use that same model (minus the saddle and stuff of course) because it looks so much better than what we have.
