I truly believe Wrath of the Lich King Classic will be uber popular and probably over take Dragonflight as Wrath had a lot better quality of life and much better game play than Vanilla and TBC, and had a much greater Nostalgic present across the the community. I’ve never heard anybody say a bad thing about Wrath besides “DK & Ret Paladins” were overpowered…
Now that being said, I truly deep down in my heart believe that WoW should continue WoW in a different direction after Wrath Classic Ends by creating a “New Time Line”; A Time Line where Cataclysm never happens and is entirely a new expansion which continues the game design of Wrath.
Imagine…
Level goes up to 90 with 9 additional Talent points given and the talent trees extended by another 6 points with 1 extra ability added. given the amount of abilities in the game, we could easily add an ability to each tree… Meaning we essentially get 1 new ability, a 5 point new talent which could enhance that ability (81 we get the new ability) - which is then enhanced over the new 5 talents, and then we get 3 additional talent points to go into a separate tree…
Entirely new story arch. Cataclysm never happened but Death wing is still alive? Kil’Jaeden is still alive… What about N’zoth?.. Why not do a entire new story line around A’zshara and the invasion of the Naga…
Imagine…
World of Warcraft “Classic”; Tide of Azshara
Level 90 cap
Entirely new Zone
Wrath talent trees added upon with 6 new talents each tree
New Glyphs
Transmog
No LFR
LFG Dungeons for improved leveling and casual play
Hard Mode Dungeons added (No LFG system for this)
Hard Mode Raid added to each tier. (No LFG system for this)
This would be 10x the success of Dragonflight…
