Pre-patch download location not in the folder "used for gameplay"

Hi Blizz,

My drive where I installed world of warcraft has limited size. (using the “used for gameplay” setting.
The disk cannot handle another 18Gb just for storage of the pre-patch download.

How can I change the download location to another drive without moving the installation itself (I’m going to install the game on the same drive where the installation is currently hosted).

Simple: let’s say the game itself is installed in the folder x:\world of warcraft. I want the pre-patch download in the folder: y:\download pre patch. And install it from there as soon as the time is ready.

Hi there Caccia,

Unfortunately there is no option to download the pre-patch to a different location from your regular installation and if you don’t have enough space you’d have to move your entire installation to another drive.
