How does it come that we pay Blizzard monthly to play this + expansion itself, in the year 2024 and they still didn’t attempted to ease even the lag caused by 100+ players at the same time fighting a mob?
Is it so hard to make the pre-patch events instead of open world activities into instanced content that is actually playable with a limited amount of players?
And before someone comes and says “muh evolving world experience”, it’s not a good experience if 70% of the pre-patch experience persists of Slideshow Bob giving us a visit.
I have no lag, but 90 minutes between events, when the boss dies within three minutes, is not fun at all.
I just came on, did the quest, and then was told the next event starts in 1 hour, 14 minutes. So, I suppose I have to set my alarm. Not fun, and not how I want to play video games.
It’ll drop to 60 and 30 minutes eventually, but it’s probably a good idea to do the weekly quests that yield 1500 of the currency right from the start.
The pets are 10k each (there are three), the two mounts are 20k each, plus all the other stuff for a total of apparently 300k+ of the stuff. I’m really only interested in the Windrider, but I imagine for collectors this event will be a real grind.
I think I’d just have preferred a flexible event, something like instanced boss fights that I can queue for at any time, like the holiday events.
I have no interest in any of it. All quite ugly.
I’m using this event to fill my last 2 slots on my main with champion gear (in fact, I just got a belt! Only gloves to go!).
And then I’ll gear some alts when they can leave remix.
all I’m doing right now is pew-pew´ing as a druid. I don’t even need to move. and this is all we got until 54 mins from now for some main event which no doubt won´t last long x.x
No offense, but the only fix for that problem is, less people playing in the same corner of the same zone. No matter how good the engine, how matter how good the services in the backend, when hundreds of players are at the same spot there will be lag. No matter how much we pay for it.
You can only do one of two things. Trying to deal with the situation as is or wait a few days.
For making them in 20 different zones would mean fitting mini events + fitting bosses for 20 different zones and that would for sure be too much for what a pre-event really is.
I’m actually happy they do a pre-event at all. They could also just don’t do any, like 99.9% of all other MMORPG.
