Why?

Why would you leave pre patch this late? What chance have we got of getting to 70 in 26 days? Even if we do get to 70 in 26 days the average person will be burned out ffs

Ask rather why they launched Wrath this early … look at the absolute mess the deletion of clones and the realms ‘consolidation’ have left us in.
If everything had not been so hurried we would still enjoy TBCC for some weeks, then have a nice and easy pre-patch and launch. But no, hurry - hurry is the only good thing. Sigh!

The joyous journeys +50%XP buff is still on and you can casually level 1-60 in 2 weeks with it (done). the rest 60-70 will be piece of cake for another 2 weeks time.

Well you don’t have to be 70 by launch day. You’re allowed to take your time.

Because every 3 months blizzard announces its financial statement to shareholders. They try to give a release or a big patch for every period. And this year’s 3rd quarter they use wotlk. Thats why they release it at last reset of 3rd quarter.

Why do people have such a rush? Enjoy the game while it is here, in ~2 years it is all gone again.

A lot of my characters are in the mid 50s and 60s so I could level most to 70 if I really tried.

The OP doesn’t mention fresh realms at all, so I’m not going to assume that’s what they are talking about.

I won’t be playing on fresh as within 3-4 months they will become just like every other Wrath realm.

One thing I do think Blizzard should do is make the “Classic” tag for characters say “WoW Classic Era”, “WoW Classic SoM” or “WoW Classic WotLK”.

I can’t tell which one people play by the details unless I hover over them, then it’s still not 100% as it could be Era or TBC/Wrath for some realms for people 60 or below.

Nonono, we must rush to the red light, like we would optimize the time there, so we later can write “Release Phase 2 already”.

If one can’t make 70 in 26 days, with a 50% overall increase to XP and a nerf between 60-70, with WOTLK Talents, then getting there is the least of many problems.

Don’t forget you’ll have the zombie event during a week of that :crazy_face:.
It’s a clown show, but don’t give up. The 50% bonus makes a big difference and everyone will start from square one.

Well crikey…i’m the most casual of casual and even I can get to lvl 70 in 4 weeks (I assume you mean DK’s)

If you go fresh, you’ve got to level one other ro 55 before you’re allowed to make a DK.

A balanced PvP server is overrated.
