Since there won’t be a season 4 of The War Within, I presume it’ll be roughly 6 months in between 11.2 and 12.0.
That would mean early January… but, since I doubt they’ll be releasing it for the Hollydays, I’ll give it a late January release. Meaning (actual) pre patch around 7th of January 2026 and release date around 21st of January 2026.
Thoughts?
I predict first half of February 2026. They will end Lemix, some other events, let us breathe for two or three weeks and then hit us hard with new xpac and it will all start over again.
Also I am very happy there will be no filler fated / awakened whatever season. TBH did not enjoy both at all. In both I just made it to KSM fast, farmed the normal FOMO raid mount and called it a day until the launch of new xpac. Not a fan of reclyced content and in those extra seasons the recycling came even during the same xpac, just bleh…

Season 1 lasted 24 weeks. Season 2 lasted 22 weeks. If Season 3 lasts 23 weeks, it will end on 21st January 2026. Maybe an early February (4th) or mid Feb (11th) is not farfetched.
This is my prediction for The War Within : a February to March 2026 release date. Here’s my math. We’re in the final season of War Within, which likely has about three months left. After that, we have the Legion Remix event, which I imagine will last about two months. That’s a solid five to six months of content. Counting forward from September, that timeline points directly to a late Q1 release.
My personal plan is to enjoy Legion Remix for the transmog and collectibles, much like I did with Dragonflight’s pre-patch event with MoP Remix. But once that’s done, I’m going to step away and play other games. I firmly believe in avoiding burnout before a new expansion. I want to go in fresh, with a sense of wonder and excitement to experience the new story and world—even the familiar zones of Quel’Thalas—completely unspoiled. That means no beta footage, no datamining deep dives on YouTube. I want to discover it all myself when it goes live.
We just started Week 4 of Season 3. If we only get 3 more months, that would make it the shortest non-fated season with only 17 weeks.
MoP Remix was running parallel to DF Season 4, and it lasted 91 days / 3 months. Have they hinted at Legion Remix lasting less?
I said “imagine” in relation to the timeframe of Legion:Remix because I don’t know how long it may last. I honestly didn’t research how long MoP:Remix ran for.
I should have also said we’re 1 month into Season 3, and we have 3 months remaining until Season 4, when Remix will be released.
January 19th legion remix will end with pre patch that week. Then early access 22nd January. If not push early access back to 29th
Mop remix ended and 6 days later TWW came. I think it will be the same more or less for Midnight
Early march. No way they let Legion remix run for such a short time that they launch it in january.

February 11 if Blizzard are ready to drop the pre-patch shortly after Legion Remix – and that must be their goal when they choose to let Legion Remix run all the way to January 19.
Maybe March 11 at the latest, if one assumes that Blizzard loses some productivity during the holidays, which they tend to do.
But I’ll go with February 11 as others have also said. Blizzard seems to be on a mission to get quick releases with everything concerning WoW these days.
Feb would be 6 months of Ghost of K’aresh, then we’ll need a pre-patch so March/April.
