Predictions for Enhance in Season II

Just wanted to dump my feelscraft about Enhance in Season II somewhere.

  1. Talents:
With Flurry we get the biggest dps generator our spec. 30% attackspeed for 3 attacks after we crit. The problem will be our critvalue since agility is a bad stat but % crit items may help navigate it.

Elemental Weapon will increase the AP bonus from our Windfury for 40% which sounds like alot but is rather low. We will only get ~89 attackpower for each attack from a windfury proc. Good but nothing worldbreaking.

Weapon Mastery. 10% flat more damage with all weapons. Its ok too, but it will not make our shockes stronger. Still a good talent.

Stormstrike. The thing we want the most as Enhance with Windfury Weapon. A skill that can proc Windfury. The sad part is the 20s cooldown and the high manacost. I hope a rune will make Stormstrike more viable, as its current version is underwhelming

  1. Windfury Attack
With level 30 we will finally get our Windfury Weapon Enchant. Many ppl also dont know or did forget that the Windfury Enchant from Enhance gives 2! attacks and not 1.
The BIIIIIIIIIIIIG question is, how will Windfury behave while dualwilding.

Windfury Attack has an ICD of 1,5 seconds. Since we could never test Windfury Attack (The Enhance enchant that gives 2 attacks) while dualwielding, we dont know how it will work. These are the possiblitys that i can think of.

a) Working like wildstrikes/windfury totem enchant. If it procs, the weapon that has the enchant on it, will attack two more time. If we apply windfury attack on both weapons, it may be possible that each weapon has its own ICD and does not share the ICD with each other.

b) like a) but the ICD between mainhand and offhand is shared

c) The Windfury Weapon Weapon Enchant does NOT work like wildstrikes/windfury totem. It just does 2 attacks with whatever weapon would be next in turn to attack.
Example 1: Mainhand procs Windfury attack → Offhand attack → Maindhand attack
Example 2: Offhand procs Windfury attack → Maindhand attack → Offhand attack.
The ICD of 1,5 seconds would regulate the proc amount, if Windfury Attack will work like this.

  1. Conclusion:
While the talent are ok, my fear is that the talents of other classes and specs will scale way better with the runes they have and will get. Its just an assumption tho.
As for Windfury… This will be where will rise of fall in my opinion. If we get version a) I think we may become one of the better dps classes in Season II.
The other two options… Not preferable. I think option b) and c) may the point that would make is bottom tier dps in Season II, again.

As for the runes: I just cant think of runes they may add. The best way to “predict” them is probably to look for skills enhance has gotten and got removed from tbc → df. I dont expect Blizzard to create new mechanics if they just can copy old ones.

yeah, that was my mind dumped in this thread.
AND ITS ONLY ABOUT dualwield Enhance.

Who knows what Blizzard will do for twohanded Enhance.

How windfury works doesn’t really matter much because you’ll still be using rockbiter, sadly.

Is that 100% confirmed to be better than windfury? Sounds incredibly boring

Enhancement will be up there as one of the best DPS spec come phase 2 .

all str is what u need some agility but stack str the ICD was 1,5 seconds in TBC pre patch and got nerfed to 3 seconds b4 TBC release as DW with w/f on both weapons was op i doubt it will be 1.5 even with 3 seconds using 2x 2.80 speed weapons with w/f on both we will smash meters u can also get 3 items that give extra attacks giving you up to think 10 or 11 hits in one global if they all proc threat will also be a big problem for us here is a vid of TBC pre patch 1.5 ICD b4 it got nerfed cant wait TBH

Maybe in PvP. Absolutely not i PvE.

All I hope is that Windfury will contribute to the dps more than double rockbiter.
So far it’s not looking good, many in Shaman discord is predicting that RB/RB will still beat WF imbue which would be pretty terrible.

Highly doubt it, generally because people tend to forget that threat is still a thing and that WF feeds into a feedback loop with 5/5 flurry. Have 2 weapons with the same attackspeed and it will feed more into it.

Right now, a slow MH with RB and a fast offhand with FT is a decent alternative to double RB due to how FT works.

It would be interesting to get a wave of runes that exclusively improves how our weapon imbues work, to make it more central to shamans overall.

Reposting my Rune Suggestion for 2h:

One with the Elements:

While wielding a 2haxe or 2hmace, you are treated as having all weapon imbues, permanently.

I don’t know, i’d rather see something that makes 2H enhancement be a high, on demand, burst.

Something like this for phase 2:

Shaman 2H rune for Chest and Gloves

  • Chest: Reduces Stormstrike cooldown by 5/10 seconds if a 2h is equipped and allows stormstrike to proc windfury.
  • Gloves: Fury of the winds: Strike a target with your 2h, dealing x% weapon damage and increases your attack and movement speed by 30% for 5 seconds.

New slot (boots?) has 2 new runes:

  • Stone Elemental as a tank CD
  • Bloodlust as a general CD (30% haste for 15 seconds, 3 min CD). Works for all builds.

This would be a good way forward, covers most combinations and roles

We can have all those together.

Making cooldown reduction on Stormstrike exclusive for 2h would be the most insane grief in WoW history.

How so? 10 characters.

I would be for Stormstrike just not having a cooldown at all, as a rune.

that would be broken

Care to offer your thoughts as to why?
Although they are not acting like it, the devs promised everyone would be OP is SoD.

a spell with 100% weapon damage, can proc wf with no cd is broken now matter how you look at it. be reasonable

You are right, wouldn’t want them to actually be good at DPSing, lets keep them at the bottom.

Just make runes for 2h and don’t force the stupid DW DPS. The only freaking time 2h enh was a thing was vanilla. Dont take it away, embrace it…

one thing I thought of to make agility gear more viably is a rune that

  1. For x Agility you get x% attack speed
