It was my understanding that if the enemy team has a duo, your team will have one too.
I mean, Blizzard is not to blame when it’s the players responsible for ruining all the fun by mix maxing everything.
Yes, people are going to abuse this. That’s why it’s always better to wait a bit at the beginning of the season. Also I’m more worried about people leaving middle game than duo queue.
How is this fair for the 8 other dps that has to play without premade?
He’s also Qing premade.
You can’t make an impact alone when there are 7 hard anchors. Qing premade you can have double the impact if not more

Both teams get to have a premade, seems fair to me. Also it’s 2/8 players of a team, that impact isn’t nearly as big as you think it is. Maybe if it’s 2 2400+ players in a 1500 game but in that case the better players deserve to win anyways
I don’t think you undertand how big a duo premade is in battlegrounds. You have kite with flag forever, cap bases together with perfect cc rotation. And then we have boosting, it will be a big problem. The RBG community is known for boosting 24/7, wintrading, sniping. And now you want them to be able to duo queue? Yea my predictions still stand, duo queue will ruin a solo que ladder.

luck gets pulled out of the equation once enough games are played so statisticly yes good player on the long run will go up.
Blizzard had to make a judgement call. Do they want to encourage the 99% , or do they try to implement a system that is “fair” even if 20 people work together to game the ladder. TBH, I also expect R1 shenanigans, but that would also happen with true solo queue. You simply need mains, “feeder” smurfs and queue syncing during off-hours
You are clearly right. I didn’t even read comments. I am sure few sheep said otherwise. 1 broken healer/dps spec can be game changer if they are experienced and play coordinated.
BS, then they would allow dps to duo with other dps as well.

This would collide with their goal of incentivising healers. They knowingly give healers / duos a slight edge to promote better queue times for everyone. Ironically, if DPS could duo, it would be even easier to queue sync
As a healer , I prefer to have Atleast 1 person I know will support me and not Zerg all game long.
Without duo I feel like, a lot of healer will not play = enjoy long wait time.
Without duo que you will not catch me play 1 game as heal but all as blood dk.
So take your choice, wait 30- 50 minutes or play around premades
Edit : also everyone who is complaining , don’t you guys have friends ? Atleast 1? Why not abuse this if it’s so ,easy“

Its called solo not x2, if it goes live like this it will be premade vs not.

You are right, but then it’s not ‘’ solo ‘’ anymore, but tbh this mode will be pretty awful imo, shuffle is already hard if you get 1 or 2 donkey in your lobby so in blitz with more people = more rng.

Most realistic case scenario, would be nice if Blizzard can confirm this. Other than that it would be sensible if blizzard can rename the mode to Solo/Duo as I have mentioned on the other post, but appart from that can’t really complain about duos, since it can help the participation.
The gamemode is called Battleground Blitz, isn’t it?
Cant remember solo in the name
Except for the huge text that says “Solo”. I guess we will need another page in lfg tool for finding duo partner for the “Solo” blitz.
I am sure you will play. You clowns get spoiled too much and always want positive discrimination, sometimes even at the cost of game balance. Be a man and stop blackmailing.
I’m maining healer and I won’t play if it’s another expansion where playing withour friends is the best way to push ratings.

Oh, ‘i want to play with my friends’ card got pulled. Well i would wait 5 minutes more for a more balanced game. We won’t miss you.
Yeah god forbid that Blizzard allows us to queue a new game mode with a friend in a MMO. I guess I just shouldn’t play a MMO if I want to play with friends and go play a competitive pvp game like LoL instead…
