This has been discussed and talked about a lot. Almost everyone agrees on it, wether the vast majority of players, streamers or people with a healthy mindset. The state of premades vs pugs is killing pvp… it’s always the same few people that still try to keep defending it, because they like to reap the rewards at the expanse of others. But there are no real arguments that can actually justify the situation.
As it is right now premades are only successful (or fun) if someone else is NOT having fun aka. being GY camped and facing 10 premades in a row… losing a game isn’t an issue, getting stomped because most people in a pug go afk right away IS.
A few of the nonsense arguments people will tell you to defend their sinking ship:
The argument of „well go make ur own premade“ is complete nonsense because first of all it’s a big time issue (no it’s not possible to join a premade for 2-3 games, stop kidding urself) and secondly a lot of people don’t want to be forced into a toxic environment. Because most premades are a certain type of people to be honest… ive ranked to 14 in vanilla and to 10 in classic and SoM, so I’ve spent countless hours in premade groups. Most people will buy gold online to feed their consumables and will not care about challenge or actual pvp, but only about honor/hour.
„It’s a group based game“ - yes exactly, so it should be groups vs groups. They actually implemented this feature in Cataclysm and even TBC and Wotlk Classic to fix the premade issue where everyone could queue as a group of max. 5 people for normal queues and everything above was premade vs premade. They did that because of the exact same dilemma we are facing now.
„If you like challenge and have a sportive/athletes mindset you will join a premade“
The exact same opposite is the case! No athletes group will EVER compete against random amateurs that have never played/trained together. The only games that are actually interesting or challenging are premades va premades
It would be completely fine by me if premade queues got more Rep and Honor for their games. But this is a very unhealthy state pvp is in SoD right now.
Just be honest to urself and you know there is no way of justifying the current situation

Funny that u mention being bored, having nothing to do because people rushed thru content AND doing things the fastest possible way in one sentence… you do see the irony, don’t u?
Just remove revered rep cap from Ashenvale and the issue will mostly be resolved. You’ll still have premades but the numbers will be drastically reduced. Going forward make it possible to get exalted from new PvP events with AB.

Load of rubbish. Reality check. That premade you just joined are random people you just met and have never played with. I think you need to up the dose on your meds.
You join groups for Dungeons, you join groups for raids, you join groups for hard quests. Heaven forbid you might have to apply the same mindset to pvp. This is the healthiest WSG has ever been and i’ve got the stats to back that claim up.

U cannot compare grouping up for pve content when in pvp right now u are having success at the expanse of others. It’s not about winning or lose, but about an even playfield.
No real pvp player would defend the state of BGs right now. You can keep on defending ur little premade bubble, but just own up to the truth that you don’t care about pvp, an actual challenge or fun… u only care about fast rewards no matter the cost
I absolutely agree that the premade vs. pugs situation needs to be fixed. I think that anything more than 3 people should be considered a premade and needs to be put in a seperate queue against other premades. This issue made me quit Classic 4 years ago and if it’s not changed, it will again make me lose interes in SoD.
