Premeditation as Talent on Beta for Sub

Blizzard

In this week’s build, Subtlety Rogue gains a familiar name as a new passive talent, Premeditation.

This talent allows the Rogue to skip a step during their opening onslaught, by providing Slice and Dice when Shadowstrike strikes a target from Stealth.

only when you use Shadowstrike strikes ??? this is good only for RAID and only at start of fight (oppener)
this does NOT solve the problem in PvP or M+ !!!

why does it not proc for Shuriken storm and Cheap shot ? OR
why does it not proc when you come out of stealth ??

this is the laziest and bad solution ! and should not be TALENT !
don’t create Talents for solving core problems !! i hate this

in WOD… you could pre-SND before fight no matter what ability you use because it was core mechanic…
why do you bring back core mechanic as a TALENT that is LIMITED to ONE spell…
WTF is this ?!?!

The story of the creative proudness of Blizzard

The Players: “Hi Blizzard! Can we have an apple please?”

Blizzard: “Sure guys!”

1 hour later…

Blizzard: “Here you go! An apple PIE!”

The players: “Apple pie? But we just wanted an apple. Can’t we just have that?”

Blizzard: “No. You might think you want an apple but really you want an apple pie.”

The Players: “Guys, we really JUST want an apple. It’s so simple.”

Blizzard: “Hmmm… but now we already spent time baking the pie. Now you HAVE to eat it.”

The players: “But we really don’t want it. The pie is all burned and it taste weird. Can’t we just scrap it?”

Blizzard: “Scrap it! Are you insane? That would be to admit a mistake. We won’t do that!”

The players: “So you’re really going to force us to eat this disgusting pie even though we just wanted an apple from the beginning?”

Blizzard: “Yes.”

it’s sad because it’s true :weary:

They should have returned it back just like how it was before it got removed, usable ability instead of passive

This new version of Premed is specifically designed to fix SnD. However, it is likely to be a DPS loss to use the talent, instead of not even picking one.

Common sense would dictate, that if you have to design a Talent to fix issues caused by returning an old ability, maybe you just should scrap both. SnD isn’t needed, and all its benefits could be achieved by simple tweaks to other mechanics. Sub doesn’t need SnD, it has better tools to reach its goals. It definitely has no need for a dead Talent, like Premed.
