Hey everyone, since my earlier post is ignored, I will try again. I can’t use Battle.net authenticator because it doesn’t allow me to use prepaid phone number that I have been using for years.
As you may know, without Battle.net authenticator, we can’t put notes in LFG for our groups. Who made this useless decision? Can I work around it?

Your question is twofold, about SMS Protect and the LFG decision to restrict custom listings.
Some services refuse to provide that text messaging to pre-paid (burner) phones when setting up accounts and security services. They don’t want burner phones used to set up Auths on Bnet accounts, or VOIP for the same reason.
The LFG decision was made after extensive feedback from the community to combat advertisment on LFG. It has been cut down significantly thanks to that.
You can still put up a group without custom listings. You cannot circumvent making a custom group or the SMS part as that is determined by the services and/or carriers.
