Prestige Level - Idea

I think that it would be fun if we could leven further than max level of expansion itself and keep unlocking levels after levels~ with special utility talents and other things as rewards that would either be neutral, class specific or even racial specific.

Something that would keep us occupied and allow us to gloat in front of other players but also something that would not be required to have to play with others.

Lets say that each level (after max level) would give you a point to spend and rewards would have cost depending on quality. Examples:

  1. If it would be racial specific then Void Elf could buy ability to create Void Rifts that would behave exactly the same as Mage Portals but with VR animation. Goblins would have reusable Goblin Glider.

  2. If it would be class specific then Demon Hunter could buy some kind of Metamorphosis Mount. Death Knight could buy water breathing.

  3. Neutral stuff~ pretty boring. Imagine getting hearthstone to your capital :unamused:

I dont like that everything we achieve is gone after expansion ends. Even some fun toys have level limit. We should get some farming rewards that will not roll us back to 0 and that are not linked to specific zones or expansions~ just pure farming with shiny carrot at the end where hardcores and casuals will one day get something making their life easier.

As a blood elf don’t you gloat in front of players enough already?

I like shiny carrots though, just not the idea of endless levels. So if you can think up another way I can get a shiny carrot, preferably the shiniest of them all, then I’m all for it.

Honor level must be cosmetic only.

All i ask is new level of icons , so we can define more about each level above 500.

i’m ok for maybe no more reward after 500 honor level, but at least they haev to make new icons because everyone gonna be quick 500 honor fast.

And maybe add a reward for level 1000 honor  ( in case and it would be equalise the rank 14 woaw of wow classic )

Yes please!

Let me use my Voidy powers!

Everquest used to do this with “Alternate Advancement”, a second exp bar and you determine how much of your “real exp” goes into it, from 100 to 0% although you unlocked it at level 50 if I recall (it was released in an expo where 70 was cap if I remember correctly).

Every AA level gave you a point, and you spend it in various perks. Some of them cost 1 point, others say 15 or so. Many of them were generic perks, small buffs like “increase your breath by x% per rank” or “increase disease resist by X per point” the multi point ones were generally class specific perks that actually affected performance significantly like for rogues there was “your backstab criticals can critically strike doubling the damage.”. You could technically unlock every single AA perk given time, there was no cap.

Bear in mind EQ didn’t have talents so this may have be a substitution for that. But the version of it that is geared towards very general perks like quicker movement, more resist, faster swimming etc I wouldn’t be averse to something like that, but not something that affects class performance.

Ofcourse! If it would affect performance then it would create toxic environment where those things are required. Not to mention that stuff directly affecting performance is~ boring

Aren’t Prestige levels just iLevel?

Honor level past 500 is indeed pointless

Isnt it cosmetic only?
You get only cosmetic pets, mounts and titles.

Maybe they should make it like CS:GO. When you hit max level 40 you receive a badge. After this you get a new one with different color after you hit 40 again and again. I think its the same badge thing in Overwatch too.
