Previous Elite Pvp Sets/ Challenge Mode Pandaria

If you think that’s the case, you should ask Blizzard to phase out mythic pve sets after the raid stops being current, not try to devalue other people’s hard earned rewards.

Looking at your achievements you just paid for a boost in challenge mode anyway, it’s not like you earned it so why shouldn’t we be able to earn it?

You got all your golds in MoP and WoD in same day so it looks like you were boosted to your CM mogs

Wouldnt be the same as you dont have the stats or ablities of MoP or WoD so they would be even easier now.

Exactly this, and it goes double for PvP and it’s respective sets since there are no mechanics to master or learn beyond class/spec design.

Unless you preserve the exact design and balance from any given patch/time, it would not be the same, and acquiring the set(s) would be “tarnished”.

Every elite set has a non-elite recolour, and the challenge mode gear has a recolour available from Legion class halls.

People only clamor for these original colours because of their rarity in no longer being available. If they were available again, nobody would use them.

Take the Zul’Aman bear, for example. There were floods of tears when that mount was removed, so they added it again in Cataclysm as a recolour. It requires no effort to obtain, and I would say probably about 90% of all level 120 characters have it.
Nobody uses it.

It is simple human nature to desire what you can’t have. Most move away from this mindset as they mature, but sadly some stay like that even well into adulthood.

Citation needed.

I disagree with you. I firmly believe this game needs more seasonal rewards, an “I was there” kind of thing. Rarity creates value and aspiration.

What we should be asking is why Blizz can’t create one absolute kickass mog per class per expansion and then give people means to obtain it.

Things can be rare without being unobtainable.

Saying that bringing back older sets would devalue them is true, but isn’t that what happened to Tier 3 sets when they were added to the BMAH? Tier 3 sets the most prestigious armor sets WoW has ever seen, and then they become purchasable…

Should’ve been put back in the game as quests with a naxxramas timewalking tbh.

Tier 3 was never anything special to be honest. Some farmed it in TBC before it was removed in Wrath, and probably 95% of people wearing it today as transmog bought it from the BMAH. It is no longer a symbol that you raided the hardest raid in Vanilla, it now represents having lots of gold.

Does it matter how i got it, i worked for that gold to.

It’s not necessarily “rare”, it’s false scarcity with a time restraint, my major point is actually that the bfa transmogs are SERIOUSLY lacking in imagination.

That’s true, and perhaps we shouldn’t ask them to repeat the mistake. Two wrongs don’t make a right.

This part is something I can agree with to a decent extent. Kinda drives down the motivation for earning the sets when instead of a set for every class you’ve got this “as long as it’s the same armor type”-kinda thing.

Whether they look good is kinda subjective, not a huge fan of most sets in bfa so far personally but still, a touch too subjective to proclaim them “trash”. Might be someone’s cup of tea.

wuahahahahaha, so why going to mythic and killing them is not “hard work” while casuals did not kill it should be rewarded with same thing you got or EARNED after the current content?

I was never a fan of removing rewards or limiting them. At least not in its current form.

I mean you can get A8 with honor medallions, and back in times in order to get them you had have 2k arena rating for head chest and for shoulders in 3c or in 5c

It’s how it works, just deal with it.

That’s subjective, i like the Mythic BoD cloth set personally, and the same for the Plate one, but it’s impossible that all agrees with me. I agree with the fact that numerically, since the removal of class sets, it seems there are fewer sets tho.

Anyway the old Elite PvP sets never had some special animations, the were basically recoulours of Mythic sets or PvP sets when they used to have a different model from the PvE ones (WotLK - Cata - MoP).
The only exception to that was the WoD Season 1 Elite sets wich have a totally different models from the normal PvP version and the PvE sets too, but for some reason, they didn’t go in the same way for the other seasons.
And the Challenge mode sets too, these had animations.
