Priest Covenant Abilities

I’m likely going to be maining a Priest in SL, but i’m unsure what covenant ability to pick. I play Disc and Shadow almost equally in group content and I really enjoy both specs which unfortunately makes my choice quite difficult.

Kyrian seems fantastic for Disc but awful for Shadow as it has negative synergy with Shadow, locking me out of Mind Flay and forcing me to go melee range to get full benefit from the ability.

I like the Maldraxxus covenant ability as it fits Disc’s role of Dmg=Healing, but it has the same problem with Shadow having very little interactivity.

Thematically I love Venthyr, the universal ability is great with added mobility which Priest lacks. The class ability however isn’t great.

I really dislike Night Fae, both thematically and it’s class ability. The uni ability however is alright.

You can see the issue here, the only ability that fits both specs well would probably be Night Fae, which i dislike for various reasons. Other choices don’t fit both specs very well which from my point of view only leaves Venthyr, despite the class ability being mediocre.

What do you guys think? I may just end up going with Venthyr solely for the aesthetic and mobility but we will have to see. What are you guys picking and why?

I’m personally waiting to see what Blizz does with the beta survey and if they actually Pull The Ripcord. If so, I’ll go Necrolords for the thematics.

Thanks for the link that video was informative. Venthyr may be my go-to then unless changes are made before launch.
