Hello, I recently began leveling a little priest and I was wondering how viable leveling through questing as a discipline priest is. I know shadow is the DPS spec but discipline is all about healing through dealing damage so I figured it might still be decent.
I know in classic at least that both Shadow and Discipline are about equal when it comes to leveling, but I don’t know how much that has changed in 15 years.
I’ve levelled as disc so yes, it’s viable. I only did questing, no dungeons at all. You don’t really have any AOE so you can’t really do big pulls, which means it may be a bit slower than levelling as an actual dps. I really enjoy disc for open world content as you can keep yourself alive while killing mobs. If you enjoy disc, I say go for it

Holy nova says hi. I do big pulls with it and outheal all mob damage while killing them with it.
Ha ha, Holy Nova probably made it onto my list of buttons I forget to press as often as I should 
In that case, pull big, holy nova and have fun! Even more reason to level as disc! 
at the beginning of the expansion i leveled this priest as holy and it was alright. leveling was slow but steady. just pulled big groups and novaed them to death. didnt like disci when leveling at all whatsoever, shadow i only touched once or twice because i dont like the playstyle.
