Must be the worst quest ever designed in wow. Take a average Joe with only a few friends that he plays with. How is Joe suppose to be able to find and cordinate with a priest of the other faction to be able to finish this??

It’s dumb of you to say that. The WAR EFFORT for AQ Gate opening in Vanilla was introduced 20 years ago. People coordinated cross-faction and contributed to the server.
If you can’t coordinate 2 people, and not the whole server, you shouldn’t be playing vanilla
Some things just aren’t meant for casual players…this is why retail is the way it is, the casuals won
Good thing this ain’t vanilla, as that’s an awful game with very few redeeming qualities. This is a different game, with innumerable changes to correct the categorically bad design of vanilla.

Classic in general and SOD in specific are only here because we’re too bad at the game to hack it in retail and would like to clear anyways. That’s the primary audience draw. Saying that classic isn’t for casuals is wild actually.
You dont need to do the chain to get the recial just go to the curche near karazan and get the recial buff, take 2 min.
Only 1 person on the server needs to finish the chain, rest of the priests can just do the last part after he is done.

100% agree, AQ Gate opening needed a huge cross-faction coordination.
Putting aside the “you shouldn’t be playing vanilla” nonsense, I find this priest questline very interresting.
It’s really not that hard and no one is asking anyone to have friends in the opposite faction.
I’m currently doing it, using my server discord and I found an Ally priest who wanted to do the questline like me.
Also knowing you can then have the ability to turn the light on at the Chapel yourself for every priest on your server, and warn everyone both on the discord and in-game, I find it super cool.
This questline is the embodiment of cooperation, communication and patience. I personnaly love it.
But maybe this isn’t for everyone, it’s not the “rush, loot, deliver” regular stuff after all.
I went to the chapel yesterday and klicked on the light and chosed fearward and it poped up in same slot were you have runes. Tere is no sound or any thing that say you got it so look in your rune tab.
You can only select 1 racial, but change when ever you want.
