[Priest] Suggestion : Remove Holy & Disc

Instead of removing things always why not improve what we have.

I’ve done literally everything on this character. A lot of things don’t carry over onto alts, which is awful as a completionist.

On the plus side you can always spot the people who lack a thought worth knowing so just use AI to do it for them.

Or they can royally screw up Disc. Which it seems they did by removing Rapture. According to people who do testing on the PTR, the spec seems gutted.

Right now in S1, people swap from Holy to Disc to go from D tier to S tier.

In S2, people will swap from Disc to Holy to go from D tier to C tier.

So there’s that :man_shrugging:

I think its true, the less ppl need to think or do themselves, well I dont see how it would make anyone improve either in these things which AI does for them. If everything in life is a skill, in theory the more its practised they would become better at it. Now AI is getting better and people worse.

Unfortunately that is how blizzard is working these days

Only balance we have in the game is the druid spec :owl:

I’d like Disc to turn into a holy dps spec. Just give Holy a bit more bubble power and you don’t need another healing spec imo.

I’m curious to see if your post will get flagged for ā€œtrollingā€. I recently used Chat GPT to fix Shadowlands lore, seemed decently popular with a lot of interactions, yet it got deleted by admins for ā€œtrollingā€. I can only assume they don’t like people using AI on forums.

I m not trolling, I m making a suggestion.

Neither was I. Very respectfully written post. Interesting interactions with many other users. The only inflammatory comments were from people complaining about ai. Yet somehow, ā€œflagged for trollingā€ after contacting them a few times for explanations they just kept sending the community guidelines page.

And you guessed correctly, nothing about the use of ai in them.

For me, no. I like having the choice of two healing specs. I remember when penance was introduced in vanilla and regigging my spec so I could take it.

Priests having a double healing spec is not a negative, it allows for different play styles as with the pure dps classes. One of the specs is generally reasonable for end game content and as a healer main that works for me personally. I certainly would not appreciate the reduction in choice that merging holy and disc to one spec would cause.

I got system messages that some soft people wanted to flag my messages here and on the high elves thread

So using chatgpt is not an issue

All has been restored, even with IA chatgpt

I ve my little idea of who is the usual nice guy i tried to mute me :dracthyr_hehe_animated:

Oh that’s interesting, I never got one of those. Does this mean some admin didn’t like my post?

To be honest, I wouldn’t be surprised, as pointed out by AI, it’s so easy to fix the mistakes of SL without doing major rewrites that they probably got bitter about it hehe.

Anyhow I don’t really have an opinion on the OP, I’ve never played heal priest. Though what I would say is that reductive changes are rarely well received. Even if they make a new singular heal spec for priests that is the best of both worlds, after so many years of people choosing one over the other, that’s going to ruffle some feathers.

I’ve always thought it would be more interesting in changing one of the two specs in some sort of hybrid dps/heal/support spec instead. Could be called ā€œInquisitorā€ or something like that, uses aggressive light spells and does some sort of off heal, or even main heal (basically a range holy paladin of sorts)

No thanks. I like holy, i dont like disc.

Like me, but I prefer a merge solution than continuing to be the trash spec of all times

I guess thats where we just agree to disagree.
I like being the underdog spec. And dont get me wrong, the AoE healing situation of Holy is dire, but that still doesnt warrant merging imo.
