I think its true, the less ppl need to think or do themselves, well I dont see how it would make anyone improve either in these things which AI does for them. If everything in life is a skill, in theory the more its practised they would become better at it. Now AI is getting better and people worse.
Iām curious to see if your post will get flagged for ātrollingā. I recently used Chat GPT to fix Shadowlands lore, seemed decently popular with a lot of interactions, yet it got deleted by admins for ātrollingā. I can only assume they donāt like people using AI on forums.
Neither was I. Very respectfully written post. Interesting interactions with many other users. The only inflammatory comments were from people complaining about ai. Yet somehow, āflagged for trollingā after contacting them a few times for explanations they just kept sending the community guidelines page.
And you guessed correctly, nothing about the use of ai in them.
For me, no. I like having the choice of two healing specs. I remember when penance was introduced in vanilla and regigging my spec so I could take it.
Priests having a double healing spec is not a negative, it allows for different play styles as with the pure dps classes. One of the specs is generally reasonable for end game content and as a healer main that works for me personally. I certainly would not appreciate the reduction in choice that merging holy and disc to one spec would cause.
Oh thatās interesting, I never got one of those. Does this mean some admin didnāt like my post?
To be honest, I wouldnāt be surprised, as pointed out by AI, itās so easy to fix the mistakes of SL without doing major rewrites that they probably got bitter about it hehe.
Anyhow I donāt really have an opinion on the OP, Iāve never played heal priest. Though what I would say is that reductive changes are rarely well received. Even if they make a new singular heal spec for priests that is the best of both worlds, after so many years of people choosing one over the other, thatās going to ruffle some feathers.
Iāve always thought it would be more interesting in changing one of the two specs in some sort of hybrid dps/heal/support spec instead. Could be called āInquisitorā or something like that, uses aggressive light spells and does some sort of off heal, or even main heal (basically a range holy paladin of sorts)
I guess thats where we just agree to disagree.
I like being the underdog spec. And dont get me wrong, the AoE healing situation of Holy is dire, but that still doesnt warrant merging imo.
