Aka you want to replace difficulty with grind. There are some excellent asian MMORPGs you might enjoy where 100 hours of grind gives you 1% of a level.
I’m pretty sure the suggestion I’ve made doesn’t make the game easier at all, rather more targetable.
In M+ a +16 drops 16 primal chaos, so I’m guessing 20 from a +20, that means you need to do 50 +20s to get a spark, if you were converting concentrated primal chaos, you’d be doing a total of 30 dungeons for 1 spark of ingenuity + 1 concentrated primal focus for one 418 item.
I say that’s fair game to be able to target 1 item after doing 30 m+20s, currently the hardest doable content in the game besides mythic raiding.
In which you also need to keep in mind, you’ll have no access to the other transactions since they cost primals too and you would have to farm even more content to get them.
You still need 10 primal focus for a 405 item, and 10 concentrated primal focus for a 418 item, how would adding more options to gear make the game grindier? I still have about 1k primals and a bunch of primal/concentrated primal focuses sitting in my bags with zero to no use at all.
