this content is purely mindless and dull and whats even worse is that my entire profession spec relies on getting 1 lucky drop from this.
why cant we have some kind of bar or mob counter like the pre-patch to summon these bosses, sitting and killing endless mobs is not fun or engaging, made even worse if a group turns up and makes every mob go grey.
feels like such a wasted opportunity, considering how long they are up for and the amount of time it takes for the rares to appear

Why do they put so many elite grinding in this expansion?
I do agree. It should work just like pre-patch ones, have a bar at least to know when the next rare is spawning or something because it feels endless spamming and killing.
It isn’t as bad as I thought it would be. I only spent a couple hours doing the weekly, getting all 4 cores and about 600 essence; I had enough for 3 small pieces and to upgrade one (didn’t realise cloak didn’t count to set bonus).
I did other stuff inbetween but made it a go of getting the cores as they aren’t that low a drop as people seemed to claim. The rares give you 50 essence but didn’t get anything else. Also got 3 pet drops.
I am quite happy to not bother with them until next week now and slowly upgrade my gear. I think the rares must be on a timer or something, whilst a bar would be nice it also might encourage more zergs that would cause lag.
Idk about rares or even what they are supposed to drop beyond 50 essence. The core item to upgrade your gear to 385 is once per week per type of storm and drops off anything in the affected area.
Edit: Wowhead says the rares can drop some gear, there are several rares that can spawn per type. No info on if it is once per week. They aren’t worth it imo but can’t decide that for you ofc.
Mostly I am interested for currency (pets, mogs and mount) and also for JC desing but ai am not sure does it drop only from bosses and how many times you can kill it per week for loot or how many different bosses is there per storm. We don’t have too many informations so far.
I found the currency was best to farm in the alternate timeline in the bronze dragonshrine. Huge area, mostly elites you can pick off and so all drop 5 per elite mob.
Well yesterday I did at least 3 events this is what I have worked out.
1 Rare Spawns at the start of the event, then usually every 45 minutes after that.
The rares have plenty of health, but that doesn’t really scale. So if you have a party of 5 , expect to spend about 10 minutes killing it (seriously). And becareful of knock backs, because if you’re pushed too far the rare will happily evade and reset back to full health, even if it was previously at 1%.
I have not seen anything of note from dropping from them, for myself or for anyone else.
Which is something i absolutely love. Brainless grind. (Not sarcasm)
I play games to relax, not having to think a lot. I absolutely love invasions right now just as much as i enjoyed grinding obsidian rep for the lava mammoth mount.
It’s a great way to gear up and adds to the already very rewarding feeling world content that posivitely surprised me a lot so i can’t really agree with you
Garbage no brainer content, not to mention the rares take 10-15 mins to kill are overtunned as hell and drop 23 resources… Like KEKW
The rewards are not even unique, yeah 2 pets and 1 mount thats good but the bulk is just the same tmog as other content and the ilvl grind is crazy and gatekeeped by storm sigil or w/e its called and the ilvl blows.
Im not even gonna bother to do it in its current state just like the bastion convenant arena thing in SL overtuned mess that only drained ur time and not fun one bit.
