Especially since now primal storms are so rare in the original 4 zones, it’s getting really hard to finish the Storm Chaser achievement. Is there a schedule to show which element shows up in which zone and when? If it’s even on a set rotation…
I think there used to be on Wowhead main page but atm it is just for Storm’s Fury. I don’t think anyone has caught up with the change yet. I find there is usually 1 up on the original isles and not that large a lull between.
One storm is up for 2 hours, and there is a 2 hour lull between them, this much I know.
But even when there is a storm, at best there is an 1/16 chance for the correct one to spawn, and I think it’s actually less, because some zones have more spawn points than others. For example, in Thaldraszusz there is only Tyrhold, and in Ohn’ahran Plains there is only Nokhudon Hold.
Now, not sure how the randomization works exactly, but I think it’s no wonder that I’ve for all 4 done in the other 2 zones, but still missing some in these 2. So I think each spawn point has an equal chance to get a storm. Since there are 3 spawn points in Azure Span and Waking Shores, and 1 in the other two zones, that would mean, if I need, for example, Firestorm in Thaldraszusz, there is only an 1 / [4*(3+3+1+1)] = 1/32 chance.
I definitely saw a fire storm in Ohnara thst wasn’t Nokhud earlier…
If you mean like 2 hours ago, that was actually the Cobalt Assembly (in Azure Span). It’s indeed visible from the Ohn’ahnan Plains map.
Im personally unhappy with things being timed like these… it’s not always I can make them, or even know they are up until its too late.
There’s nothing more off putting than seeing an event having just happened and I know I will have to wait 3 hours or whatever for a new…
Using a WA only tells me “It happened” or “It happens”, its still timed and somewhat too far spread apart for my liking…
I use a weak aura that tracks my profession stuff and things like the events
https://wago.io/TamasDragonflightHelper/94
It also tracks super rares but I disable that section
The front page of wowhead will show you what is currently active.
It’s better than nothing (easier than to log in), but it still doesn’t show the schedule ahead. If that’s even fixed, of course. If completely random, it obviously can’t be done.
Ah. That explains that. I honestly hate them only being in elite places, whilst I can do it I really am onl after the core. The Reach gives more than enough overflow.
