I love a good grind as much as the next person, but this pattern dropping from low spawning rares on an exceptionally small timer is not a good experience.
No longer is it a benefit to be a great Jewelcrafter on your realm, but instead a lucky RNG god or a very wealthy person. Professions were supposed to be about being the best and investing time into your profession, not RNG drops from terrible events
Perhaps the recipe can be added to the Overflow/Storm Sigil vendor? Because this is ridiculous
Does the recipe drops only from the rare boss mob or every mob in the storm event has a chance to drop it? Does every storm has only 1 big boss or they are swapping and everytime you kill different one have a chance for loot?
This droprate is mental - farmed 4 storms for a total of 8 (!!) hours so far - killed a total of 12 supermega rares ( the ones tied to the storm event ) and still not a single design drop.
From what I’ve heard and the comments on WoWhead, it’s only the “spawned” rares that can drop the pattern. I too have been in these storms for the past 2 days trying to farm the recipe for my guild. I put so much time and effort into getting my JC up to a tip top level, even going as far as spending 6+ hours digging for dragon shards and this is kind of an unfortunate slap in the face
Please add the recipe to the storms vendor or something
i’m spend some time to upgrade my JC profession for good necklaces, and i think i’m not gonna get thie recipe. I can’t farm the event (i work all day, the event is up from 5 to 7 PM on my server, i can’t farm the others…). And no recipe on the AH, but i fear for the price, i think i’m not gonna affort it, the price will be to high. So, i’ve spend days to improve my JC profession for nothing, and i can’t respec my knowledge points… the only work orders are for this necklace, so my profession is totally useless.
It’s a pity, i love so much crafting on games, i could suffer the other expansions, it was ok, i could play, farm and sell something, but not anymore, except farming ores and herbs… WTF ? Crafting goods sell for a loss except 3* we can’t reach for sure for every click. We better have to sell mats. I’m really sad for the profession system, i had so much hope…
Yeah I agree - Having invested this amount of time into these professions, with no option to respec means that unless Blizzard changes something we’ll have a useless profession for another few weeks whilst the Race to World First is going on and people can throw multiple gold caps at this recipe…
It’s sunday, the recipe didn’t drop for anyone on the server, many work orders for this neck, and no one to craft it. The buyers will loot something else and never ask again for a work order…
