Primo storm setup vs retri wake of ashes setup

Shaman => flameshock => lava lash or volcanic shock (if multi target) => primo wave => (doom winds of not cd) => primo storm

Retri => non gcd wings => wake of ashes

Because Ret is a training wheel spec, basically the easiest to play Dps in the game right now. Enhancement on the other is like playing piano. :smiley:

As a Shaman and Retribution player: let’s not misrepresent the difficulty curve of classes here. The correct rotation for Retri is:
Judgment (spender damage buff) > Blade of Justice (applies DoT) > Execution’s Sentence > Wake of Ashes > Divine Toll > Hammer of Light > generate 3 Holy Power > Blessed Hammer > generate 3 Holy Power > Divine Storm to spread DoT > back to priority rotation to maintain Blessed Hammer for as long as possible.

There are plenty of specs with less complexity than this in the game: Fury Warrior, Arms Warrior, BM Hunter, Survival Hunter, Havoc DH (especially non-mover), Balance Druid, Frost Mage, Fire Mage, Frost DK and Destro Warlock.

The difference here is Retri flows a lot better than many of the above mentioned specs, i.e. less spam of the same button multiple times in a row followed by windows of downtime where you simply AA. Havoc DH, Unholy DK and Fury Warrior are notorious for this.

Im not agree with this part, playing as a caster requires high positioning skills and surv depends on properly timings which is not easy. But why these combatant monkeys think they have a lot of buttons compared to ret is quite understandable - they never tried to bind abilities for each player in the group because they dont have to :smirk:

Not every spec needs to be like ret. If you’re fan of ret(nothing wrong with it) maybe you should change mains.

Not every spec, but more specs would certainly benefit from the overall fluidity and design choices of Ret.

Waited for comment like this, good old “dont like it dont play with it”. That definitly solves everything (it doesnt).

Dont think that its a good design that i need 3+ gcds to use one aoe spell. Maybe i ask too much.

Enhance is nothing like a piano anymore. Those days seem to be over.
