Problem with achievement

Hello guys. I’ve been trying to complete this achievement for over a year now, but I just can’t get it. I’ve written to support (ru) many times, and they haven’t been able to help me. I think this problem is because I completed the first part of this achievement on a character that is currently banned on my account. I can’t complete the second part or continue working towards the mount. Is there any way you could somehow reset the first achievement? I understand you won’t unban that character, so that I’d be able to finish it. I don’t know who else to write to anymore. This achievement has been stuck for so long, um, please help me.

Here the achievement. https://www.wowhead.com/achievement=18372/wards-of-the-dread-citadel

I couldn’t find the answer on Wowhead, as support advised me to do several times, which is why I am contacting you

What, if anything, is stopping you from repeating everything on a different character and which step exactly are you stuck on?

I’ve been able to find one piece of relevant information regarding Darkmaster’s Scourgestone which is a few steps before you are awarded Wards achievement. You haven’t offered us much information but could this be it?

BEWARE: The whole questline is accountwide…or at least the last part, where you have to get the materials and the reputation with the argent dawn. Darkmaster’s Scourgestone will not drop, if another character is allready on that quest.

By account wide someone is trying to hint, or am I just assuming, that the quest may be in a way functioning like Trainer Pet Battle quests but those can usually be turned in with other characters which had not directly participated in the winning battle themselves, because of shared credit.

It’s been so long since I’ve done this myself it is impossible to recall all the problems or confusions I have experienced along the way (and there were many on the first day).

Thank you for the reply. I went through the comments, and that includes the part about the stone. I simply don’t have it. Could the issue be that wow1 is banned, and I’m playing on wow3?

It’s a strange problem indeed since mostly everyone has been waiting for the secret to be fully figured out before even attempting it and the whole process will usually be completed in one sitting since full instructions became public.

You’ve previously earned Memory of Scholomance so any character under the same BNET should be able to enter the old version of the instance (via the tome on pedestal, not the default portal).

At which point you go inside, pick up the broken Argent Dawn Commission from Rattlegore room, recraft and return to kill Gandling, who should drop the epic Scourgestone which continues the questline. I can see you’re a veteran player so I’ll exclude the possibility that you’ve overlooked something.

If something is blocking your progress, perhaps you didn’t equip the new trinket (unlikely), the game is for some reason not dropping the quest item for a Nightborne (pure speculation) or it simply won’t allow you to repeat the same questline for the second time on a different character (the comment I quoted earlier indicating that some things near the end of the process being account-wide).

Assuming you’ve previously done the final Stratholme segment on the banned character, perhaps you could try going through Fiona’s caravan questline in EPL on your mage because I can see you haven’t earned any reputation with the Argent Dawn, indicating that Archmage Angela Dosantos isn’t at her final destination in Light’s Hope Chapel. You need a minimum of Honored to be given one of her three quests (based on reputation level) and completing the turn-in should finally grant you Wards of The Dread Citadel.

I can’t do better than this but if it doesn’t help in any way your only alternative is to request for some game master detective work but I’m not sure how willing to help they will be seeing the account in question is banned.

If there is truly some kind of an account-wide bug, they could at least try forcefully abandoning all related quests in progress on the restricted characters, quests which could potentially cause interference on repeat future attempts.

BEWARE: The whole questline is accountwide…or at least the last part, where you have to get the materials and the reputation with the argent dawn. Darkmaster’s Scourgestone will not drop, if another character is allready on that quest.

The wowhead comment is vague, but I believe the most likely culprit to be Darkmaster’s Scourgestone which was looted, the quest accepted but never completed, which in turn prevents the same quest starter item from dropping again on other characters (at least while it is still in quest log).

Is this it or am I wrong again?

run this command in chat

/run print(C_QuestLog.IsQuestFlaggedCompleted(76257))

Since they claim the questline to be account-wide, I’m also getting TRUE on my characters which have not gone through the secret adventure or completed this one quest. What does it say for you?

If it is TRUE, you just need to complete Stratholme part and catch up with reputation and quest progress to see the Archmage, but if FALSE a GM may need to assist; abandon the quest in progress and delete the item from the bags, which could theoretically allow it to drop again on other characters.
