Playing on Arcane Mage on some of the bosses of SoD was nothing but a frustration because of bugs. First of all, let’s talk about the bugs on Mythic Sylvanas.
When playing Arcane Mage on Sylvanas, I came across a bug that caused my Arcane Orb talent to not deal any damage on Chains of Domination ability. Not only it did not hit them at all, it also does not generate any arcane charges. It just flies through them with no effect. I know that the chains are invincible for a few seconds after they land and made sure to send my orb after they become available to damage, still the same effect. I also tried to be unusually accurate with orb and tried to make sure that it hits their comparably small hitbox, the issue still persists. It is really frustrating and is a big damage loss for me on those chains. The interesting part is that there is no such issue with Orb during intermission. I can easily hit all chains even when I am not 100% “accurate” with the hitboxes.
The second boss where there is a bug with Arcane Orb is The Eye. It is such an absurd bug, I don’t understand how it passed through the testing phase. Arcane Orb just doesn’t hit the boss because it can’t reach it. It’s mechanics is that it can’t fly out of the cliff to the abyss. Even if you use it standing in melee it just won’t hit the boss because the boss is too far from the precipice. This is not the only issue because of the Boss’ model, though. It’s also “too far” for arcane barrage to cleave both the boss and the valkyrie add. Which is weird because a Warrior, being a melee class can cleave them both with his autoattacks! How does it make any sense is beyond me.
I just wish Blizzard would fix the bug with chains on sylvanas, though. I dont want to be a burden when it comes to damaging chains.
