As a collector and completionist I like to collect small things such as recipes from different professions. The professions that I would like to complete are Tailoring, Inscription and/or Alchemy. I am curious to hear from more experienced people, which one would be the easiest (the most accessible recipes) for collecting recipes/patterns from the all expansions? Which one would you suggest and which one should I avoid? Considering to pick one of these three mentioned.
Inscription has a daily to unlock recipes so it is certainly slower, but then I think somewhere that Tailoring has a 24hr cooldown to make certain cloth… though if you are just collecting recipes that won’t be much of an issue. Never done alchemy.
I think tailoring is the easiest - certainly to level and cloth drops from the sky. I could be wrong though. In fact I think Pandaria crafting all has a daily to unlock more recipes, it did on my leatherworker and that was a right pain…
With daily for inscription, do you mean something like for Jewelcrafting in WotLK and Cata?
Ohh man, if so, I hope there is less recipes then it is in JC, it takes more then a year to obtain all JC patterns from these expansions.
For Alchemy, I know its very random, because most of the recipes you discover by making potions, elixir and do transmutations.
I have no clue about Tailoring and Inscription, to be fair, I have never leveled them.
Does Inscription requires Herbalism to pair it or the profession use some kind of other resources beside herbs?
Thanks a lot! To be fair, WoD wasnt hard for JC and LW that I leveled before, not sure about these. But WotLK and Cata was such a pain, hope these professions doesnt have that many recipes locked behind daily currencies (Cata has like 9-10 full Vendor pages of recipes with 3-5 currency for each recipe and you get only 1 per day, lol).
Since I am planning to play an Undead Warlock I am more leaning on Alchemy or Inscription since they both sounds good RP wise. Alchemy looks easier but Inscription seems more interesting.
