The fact that that is needed already says enough about how overcomplicated professions are.
Needing a guide to be able to understand something is in itself bad design.
There is nothing wrong with you liking this system, however admitting that it has very obvious and very major flaws does not mean you have to dislike the system automatically.
People read guides for raids, m+, pvp, achivements, why not guides for professions? Is it only we didnt have to?
Theres a big difference between needing to read a guide to be able to make sense of something and reading one to be able to perform better.
Anyone saying that the systems you listed are just as complicated as crafting should really stop lying to themselves.
As i said, nothing wrong with liking the crafting system, however admitting its very obvious and undeniable flaws doesnt hurt either.
So dont then. The game doesnt have to be dumbed down to the lowest common denominator everytime.
Its fine if people dont want to interact with everything.
Crafting is not difficult if you put some effort in it.
Gearing up is not difficult if you put some effort in it.
Making gold is not difficult if you put some effort in it.
It is good that you have to put effort in crafting, otherwise it would be meaningless.
Not sure what people have difficulties understanding in profs. I mostly have profs to support my raiding and m+ main.
If I want to craft something for my rogue then I obviously spec into leatherworking â leather armors and stuff. Its not rocket science. Guess people want guides for âWhich pathway makes most goldâ type of stuff.
I can tell them the pathway:
Mining, Herbalism and Skinning.
The âvery obvious and very major flawsâ being what? Not being understandable without reading?
I told him to do so because he canât do the effort himself it seems. But Simply READING is enough. I didnât need to watch videos to understand how crafting works.
Skill affects the level of your crafted is.
Multicraft affects your chances to craft multiple items of consumable stuff.
Resourcefulness affects your chances to refund some materials.
Ingenuity affects your chances of saving concentration.
Concentration allows you to craft your item at the next level and gets refilled over time.
5 lines.
How hard was that?
To know this you just have to open the crafting interface and put your mouse over each category on the right.
It is not hard if you take few minutes to read⌠Professions are more fun now
It is, do you watch up dungeons guides and your rotation?
With professions it is more easier though, you can just read itâŚ
Nope.
You didnt need to watch videos or read before to understand crafting
They even removed the Alchemist perk to double the duration of flasks and elixirs for themselves⌠now weâre just like any commoner, pft!
Because at this moment skills are low. So you need a lot of concentration to make some items. And be careful on how you spend it. That makes things interesting.
And, after all, we are only in week 3âŚ
Nothing was wrong with the old style.
I very much enjoyed it.And seriously hope they will simplify this utter nonsense.
Crafting orders are a serious flop,no public order in sight for a few days now.
And the patron supposedly helping thingy is an insane gold sink.I am not spending 30k-50k for 1 KP.
They shouldâve left proffs alone like they were prior to DF(wasnât very pleased with the leggo system in Sl either so minus that)
I am aware of how it works, I donât like the system.
I have not really enjoyed the overhaul to professions since it came about for DF. Weâve had some minor changes for TWW but I still do not enjoy this system.
It is ok to disagree.
I like it better this way even if itâs hard times with my 8 crafters and 3 gatherers.
The crafters have to wait a bit. Gathering is more rewarding atm.
Ofc itâs okay to disagree.
There must be people who like the overhaul. I just donât know any personally.
I prefer the old system. When levelling your profession was meaningful. Now profession skill is meaningless. Itâs all about a slow long grind of knowledge points.
Professions are the best theyâve ever been, you have to be extremely lazy to claim theyâre hard to understand or get into. Itâs one of the best aspects of the game at the moment, especially for solo players.
Nice insult there.
Iâm not the only one who thinks theyâre complex/
