The new “system” to receive skill points and Artisian’s equity is totally broken or intentionally designed to be impossible without buying gold. There are no daily or even weekly quests for it (no quest for engineers for example), and skill points don’t even come from crafting unless the recipe comes from somewhere else but the trainer, aka if you don’t have enough gold (tokens come here) your profession mastering is slowed down to an impossibility.
Can only speak for tailoring and enchanter but tailoring had a weekly, enchanter weekly was replaced last week with knowledge points dropping from treasures and I get knowledge points and and equity from NPC crafting orders.
The only weekly quest I’ve seen is the crafting one from the Consortium. There haven’t been any weekly quests for the actual professions beyond the gathering ones, and enchanting.
Agreed that it’s heavily geared towards people with lots of gold. That or you have to be able to farm loads of mats.
Gathering professions (including enchanting) have a weekly quest, crafting professions have a quest for 3 x crafting orders same as before.
The weekly quest to craft three simple items has been replaced with many many patron crafting orders for both simple AND complex items. It’s the complex items which are the ones that require a lot of gold.
There’s an enchanter weekly that gives Knowledge Points. Last week and this week the objective was/is to bring 20 Storm Dusts to the NPC by the Enchanting trainer.
Treasures drop KP for both Enchanting and Tailoring.
I actually feel KPs are really plentiful, at least for Tailoring and Enchanting: weekly quest, Patron Orders, treasures, disenchanting, treaties.
Well the npc crafting quests don’t provide mats, just like those made by IRL people lmao.
The patron crafting orders not containing expensive mats are usually not taken, dont want to spend 25k+ for 2 points. This new concentration system is an interesting take, but 100 hours to fully recharge seems a bit too much.
Well is still the 1st 2 weeks of the new release … Imagine being able to max up within few Hours…
Don’t forget the game has become a more …the job that i never wanted>
Have you seen the prices for it in the AH? And also, have you noticed the drop rate of green items? Back to the main point, if you don’t have points to specialize in disenchanting you get 1 per item, as @Solfyre mentioned it is heavily geared toward those with gold and gold makers.
Not just I can imagine it, I’ve seen it. How do you think all the high-level enchants, gems and other items are in the AH?
most of the crafting weekly quests are given by the npc in the building where you put crafting orders in
I m tailor and enchant
I sell my crafts for 5k each, sometimes customer is generous and give me 25k for a cloak.
I ve no trouble to earn KP and doing my patron orders
80 gold for rank 1 dust. 1600g for the KPs, which seems fine, especially so early in the expansion. I’ve been selling rank 3 dust for 250.
But I mostly use Enchanting and Tailoring as gathering professions of sorts, at least for now.
