Professions Specialization Re-spec

Why can’t we have one Re-spec for the specialization tree ? Lots of people have made mistakes and put their points in specs they don’t need or that make no sense for their class spec, like me. I have wasted a lot of points into leather spec tree when now I need them for Mail armour tree because just realized that talent points are limited and you don’t get a huge amount each day, which I didn’t know when DF launched. So please, can we have a one off re-spec to put things right ? Don’t think it will break the economy anyway.

Exactly. I unfortunately chose a path where I just can’t get any more skillpoints, so I’m forever stuck at 60 skillpoints. If we could respec with like a 1 month CD and a questline or something, it would be really nice.

Same here. Completely stuck.
The only way is to drop and restart, but that will cost way too much.

This is obviously wrong.

You will max it all out over the expansion. Keep doing weekly quests and first crafts to get more points.

Although this maybe true. It’s not what people want or want to hear.

This won’t even work, it’ll remember your specialisations. You’d have to choose a new profession entirely.

I am stuck on tailoring now because I foolishly assumed there weren’t any trap choices. I can’t get skill ups, so I can’t unlock the tabs that have skill ups. Also massively regretting some point investments on other characters but there’s nothing I can do other than be 2 weeks behind on them forever.

It’s not right that if you choose wrongly you have to change profession to have any chance at being current.

Yeah, but people wanted to max it and be relevant to the crafting economy now, not over the expansion. There are already people crafting maxed out gear, making a lot of gold. But if you chose the wrong specialisation unlock order, you can get completely stuck and have to wait for weekly handouts, never getting on the gold train.

Awful design.

Fortunately 10.0.5 will bring the thresholds for the 3rd/4th specialisations down. Irritatingly it’s several weeks away, which makes my tailor irrelevant until then.

I can see that Blizz are acting to fix the problem, which is good, but why are they making a bug fix wait behind a feature update?

If you care about min/max so much you would do the research before hand.

You dont understand this issue. The main problem is we need reaching lvl100 to open the third spec. section. Lots of people stuck in a specialization which totally useless. We cant craft anything useful and sellable and we cant increase our skills without specific crafting orders. Most of the specializations are dead ends. Not the knowledge points are the problems, the skill points.

For example at the Inscription/Archiving section only making darkmoon trinkets would increase the the skill, but noone wants those, because noone needs those. Everyone can get better trinkets from M+ and raids easily and for free.

Another solution is deleting the lvl100 skill requirement from the opening the third section.

You shouldn’t have to research to be sure the game doesn’t have a trap in it. What kind of sadist would design trap choices? :pensive:

If you belive that unlocking all specialization will somehow make reaching 100/100 easy you just lieing to your self

I don’t need it easy, I need it possible.
