Hi all,
Am i able to reset my proffesion point, like ive seen we could in TWW? If so, how can i do this. Made huge mistakes as im dyslexic and the trees looked the very similar on the tailor proffesion and I was following a guide (I hate following guides but due to the complexity of proffesions in retail i find its taken all personal expression out of my gameplay).
What will happen to my proffesion points if i change to a new proffesion? Will, they still be there if i change back at a later date or will they be completely lost? Will i be able to collect the epic world drops for the knowledge points again or will i have to start from scratch?
I really love the Engineering crafting helmet but I cant fint it in my transmog, is there another helmet like it in game? (same with the skinning and herbilist backpack)
Sorry for any spelling or grammer mistakes, my new non-ipad ipad doesnt auto correct.
Thanks.
I think you will lost points when delete and re-learn profession . But points hide in open world could back spawn.
Ago in TWW one time reset knowledge points was new in Season 2.
I unsure Midnight will give us same one time reset points in Season 1 or Season 2.
Yeah, I haven’t looked much into the whole resetting of points yet, because I pretty much know what I’m doing. But like Redde said, I think you have to wait until the next season or whenever they decide to enable it, so you might just have to be patient unfortunately.
As for changing professions, if you go from something like Leatherworking to Blacksmithing, nothing will transfer over. You’ll have to recollect all those knowledge points and everything else again.
Thanks for the reply. I appreciate the knowledge points do not transfer to the profession, what i mean is will they be saved should i revert back to the old proffesion?
I actually wish I knew the answer to that question, because I haven’t tried it myself. I know in some other MMOs I’ve played that has been the case, but I don’t know if it works the same way in World of Warcraft. Hopefully someone else can jump in and give you a definite answer if they know more about it.
If it still works like other expansions probably a one time reset later into the expansion
the main reason you don’t get them as a default option is because they’re designed in a way that if you keep at it, eventually you’ll fill out everything.
If you made a choice that makes you good at alloys, just focus on alloys as money makers for a bit, you’ll be able to make them of better high quality for people who i.e. invested in gear.
In general my best practice method is to fill a node completely before I invest into their subnodes which gives me plenty of time to course correct if I had a route in mind that I later rethink, the highest options in the tree often also have the most skill impact as it often works on everything made in every subtree

I personally wished that you didnt need so many alts for proffesions. Having to relog and recall all of your alts really breaks the immersion and concentration. I personally believe that id understand and enjoy the content more if my mind wasnt being pulled in so many different direction. Lets hope that they keep this kind of crafting but allow for single character access.
