Hi guys,
Progression is a Unique project level 30 guild formed 2 weeks ago, that is looking for more members to start raiding classic raids, to tbc then eventually Wotlk. (All these 3 expansions now all scale to level 30). We can only move onto the next expansion when the current one has been cleared. We are looking to start raiding Molten core and Blackwing lair later this week or next week.
We are only starting with Crafted Classic Professions gear (item level 29 and under) as quest gear and dungeon gear at level 30 is too overpowered (item level 36) and since the classic raids only drop item level 29 gear we wanted to challenge ourselves and make it fun as possible. Most of the people in the guild are currently maxed professions so we can help anyone that is new to the guild, gear quickly. There is also NO USE of the Auction house at all as we want to be a self run guild.
If you are interested and would like to join, We are based on Turalyon Horde and any class you want to play is welcome. (This does include any class/race combination you would like to play) You can use heirlooms and LFG to level up.

Update - We did our first MC raid last night in CLASSIC PROFESSIONS GREENS/BLUES ONLY and managed to clear MC in roughly around 4 hours with a bit of difficulty on 3 of the bosses. But overall even with the wipes everyone enjoyed it and it was a good laugh.

I’m affraid scaling is heavily against you guys, and your really cool idea will be ruined by that

Yeah the scaling isnt the best, but were gonna give it a shot and see how it goes, hopefully it will run smoothly but we shall see!

If you want to do classic dungeons then Classic actually exists. Why would anyone do it in retail?

This is just a unique way of doing it, all of “Classic” has been cleared and this is just a little project we wanted to try out.
Realm Turalyon and yeah we can always use healers we’re full on tanks tho.

Having been in a few of these guilds I can say without a shadow of a doubt you will get interest for about a month then everyone will leave. And playing on such a rubbish realm won’t help.
just keep in mind you’ll be doing molten core with 15 people rather than 40 - otherwise it’s fine. But with a full group you’ll just oneshot stuff
Last one I was in was clearing it with 7-8.
This is why we are using lower item level gear (classic professions gear) to make it more challenging
before the squish I suppose? after the squish we did it with 11 but it was “hard”
also largely depends on classes though. If you have a prot pally and 4 disc priests you might make it with 5 lol
but why is it such an awful realm?
Well depends really how we handle it and the realm thing is just not a problem because you can’t use AH anyway.
You can ez clear it fully enchanted gear and fury wars with double crusaders but it would not be as fun doing it in crafted gear/lvl 20 dungeon gear just not allowed to use rings or necks from dungeons.

And that will only make it worse, last retail guild like that was over in about 70 days.
