Proposition for fixing open world content

I agree, they are the ones that ruined RPG in wow that is for sure.
As we said we wouldn’t want mobs to be easily killable, and stop trying to find ‘‘good’’ aswers to every post that you don’t like.

This is a really good idea, frankly. It’s also very easy to implement.

Oh yes, because absolutely no one gave why these ideas would’t work… oh wait.

Ah yes the great player housing experiment that was Garrisons, which had next to no personal customization and was pretty generic mold of what that system should actually be. Also the game engine cannot support player housing, I want it to but it can’t.

The criticizm for expeditions was that they are mandatory and are very repetetive, a lot of players wanted Blizzard to further develop them (and make them non mandatory), it was Blizzard that decided to not go forward with them. The same thing will happen with Torghast btw, there are people that enjoy it and think that Blizzard should continue to develop it, that will not happen because again Blizzard does not do further iterations.

Anymore uninformed statements?

Everything you said basically proved my point, thank you.

Ah so your previous post was sarcastic ok then, glad we have some clarity on the situation.

No, I just said there was a lot of criticism on both ideas and blizzard scrapped them. You confirmed there was criticism, gave some of your own and also pointed out I forgot to mention torghast. Of course, you are completely right, many people (not I) enjoy torghast, but that is almost cancelled as well.
Therefore, you not only provided examples on my point, but also expanded on it.
So yeah, thank you.
I was precisely trying to say, that whatever new ideas blizzard comes up with, people say it’s bad, instead of saying how to improve it.
Like don’t say garrison is bad, because it does not have customisation. That’s factually incorrect. Say, garrison is a great idea, but it has to get more customisation to work.
But because of the nature of wow forums as well as opinion leaders as well some of blizzard top managers, it’s just cancel this cancel that along the spectre.

Let’s not do that, this topic is great and on point and treats the most important thing about wow:
It’s open world
Which is at its lowest point right now and just gotta be fixed.

I agree, instead of giving specific ideas on about how to improve something they just say it’s bad because of this and that.

But it is correct because in beta you could pick the zone and what style buildings you wanted example NELF buildings not humans and pick Nagrand not shadowmoon valley so you are factually incorrect.

You can pick guards, animals, buildings etc. So there is customisation. So to say there is no customisation is factually incorrect.
It misinforms people, who are not in the known.

Instead say “I would like to have more customisation to it” or " I would like it to have placement options".
It’s more productive to improve on something, than to cancel.
Unfortunately, player housing and Expeditions and apparently torhast seem to be things of the past now

But open world can still be fixed, so if u have ideas or suggestions, shoot,it’s the topic for that

Ofc there was criticism, do we have to ignore something if it’s bad?

What you said was

If you believe that the criticism of Garrisons and Island expeditions is “0 value 0 brain” then idk what to tell you.

People have been saying how to improve systems from day 1 of their respective releases on PTR. and some cases announcements.
Garrsions- Lack of customizations, nothing to do outside it, provides way to much and devalues the open world (also yes they were better in the PTR, same with Torghast)
Artefact weapons-Hard grind and respecing sucks.
Legendaries- Heavy RnG acquisition and makes respecing suck
Azerite Armor- Respecing sucks and acquisition is horrible
Island expeditions- Mandatory,grindy and boring
Visions-Mandatory and boring
Essences- Makes alts near impossible to maintain
Corruptions- Heavy RnG procs that deal 60% of your DPS, heavy RNG acquisition.
Covenants- Make them cosmetic only, this will pigeonhole players into them
Torghast-Mandatory and Boring
Dom Sockets- RnG acquisition and boring procs
SL Tier sets- heavy RNG acquisition and a time gated catalyst

All of these where reported on day 1. All of these criticisms also came with easy solutions (well except garrisons) that people suggested and ended up A) ignored or B) incorporated into the game months/years later. Are you insane or have you not payed attention.

That was all people were shouting about, seriously are playing ignorant atm ?

Not the design of buildings we were promised and we had in beta so you are factually incorrect there.
Compared to what we had in Beta we were left with bare bone’s which you can not deny.
WoD was the worse expac ever it lost 3.3 million players in first 3 months due to lack of flying, content and lag and issues for first 2 weeks of play.
You are allowed your subject view but claim it as fact or i will start as i have been using “factually incorrect” back at you .

please guys suggest ideas and new ways of playing world of warcraft in open world, please, i am writing all suggestions down to write post again after with all new suggestions.

Post No22 and 23.

People coming up with solutions are the minority, the majority just critiques. Pay attention to contemporary YouTubers, for one, what they said on the issue at that time.
It’s is exactly the problem with this topic, that some people give solutions and others frankly just vent making it harder to read through for any person potentially interested.

you see I heavily focused on writing farming routines and how to fix them, and I think it can be easily fixed if you remove that ‘‘rush kind of mentality with farming’’ hyper zoomer thing it is called AOE farming skinning or boe farming, which is anti relaxing and anti realistic and therefore anti RPG, we need more true open world farming routines with more open world content to do for any kind of reward, shoot for suggestions now, please.

It is not up to players, youtubers or streamers to come up with solutions for a multi billion dollar company. However it is up to those people to say when something is bad or not working.

As you well know the Dev very rarely visit or comment on EU or US forums as all idea’s are meant to go via the ingame suggestions and none of this is new ground at all nothing all these ideas have been batted about for years.

you might as well just stop playing game if it doesnt suit you, duuuh?

I said, which customisations options it had, therefore proving it had customisations options. So saying it did not is factually incorrect.

Wod expansion had one of the best open worlds with the exception of wotlk and mop, but you are free to have your own opinion.

This would lead to an economy entirely dominated by the bots

Again, this would be too easily abused.
Groups would form to ensure they were the only ones able to gather these items, much like the black lotus cartels of old.
