they should put an internal cd of 20 seconds per target, healers already get punished for dispelling UA…
now, 30 seconds corruption with UA up and perma slow with no cd is absurd

you are seriously doing something wrong if you do no damage as an affliction warlock. open spell book and place the spells in your action bars.

You are seriously doing something wrong if an Aff Lock kills you prior to 30% dampening.
There is a spell that gives shield to Mages. Try using that one.
Lets be real, we know it’s terrible gameplay. It’s antifun with that legendary. I would rather see it removed, malefic rapture as well and a huge increase in DOT damage and drain maybe?
But as long as warlocks have malefic we will need that slow or a huge mobility increase.
My warlock friend thinks that Necrolords might see more play with the buffs to some legendaries.
One of them can increase Drain Soul’s damage by 35% x3, and Necrolord spell can increase its damage by 100%, even more the lower their HP. And Drain Soul deals an additional 100% on targets in execute range.
That could make Drain Soul a pretty powerful execute ability. What do you guys think?

Everybody is trying to defend warlock here (again for no reason blizzard does not read those forums) and adress to you in a passive-agressive manner but if they’re right on one point, it’s that a lot of the affliction warlock damage just doesn’t matter. Before dampening its damage is fairly useless. Yes you may pull 2.5k dps in an arena but most of it will be passively mitigated/heal. Not saying they’re uber trash, but it’s one exemple of pve damage not translating well into PvP.
This might change in future patch though. Dot scaling really well as they’ve always had, and Demon armor being buffed (is it for affliction only or all lock specs?), affliction might kill you only with its dots while afking behind pillar.
All in all, affliction really shouldn’t be the top lock spec in PvP. Its design makes it frustrating to play and to play against. I really prefer destro (or demo but it’s been so much of a meme for so long that I kind of gave up my hopes of playind demo) being the top lock contender for obvious reasons. Destro punishes you for trying to connect (quite normal for a caster), affliction punishes you for just entering their LoS. A lot of people have forgotten how it feels to play arenas when affliction is broken, but next patch might remind them.

we need fire abilitys on affli immolate would be enought already for the start.
works great with malefic and maybe it does some dmg? or shadowflame baseline for all speccs? its a good spell it always felt good to press it
I think the reason why all of Affliction’s spells are shadow is because of its fantasy. Affliction is the only warlock spec that’s not fully based on demons or fel/chaos magic. It’s themed more around death/shadow magic and corruptions.
