I get this humour, I really do because it’s outrageous what’s going on over there, but allow me to say this, at least:
Comparing one of my friends being unable to leave the country for over a month because of some social credit shenanigans despite him being Danish is really not on the same level as installing Blizzard’s authenticator app on a de-Googled phone. No personally identifiable information is being given up other than giving Blizzard your phone number - you know the guys you already willingly gave all your billing details to and who don’t have a huge amount of trackers all over the web to spy on you. Yeah, those guys.
If we were talking about Google authenticators here, then my reaction would be quite different.
Also, shouldn’t there be a female version of this picture? Just for the sake of equality, you know.
I refuse to give my personal information to Blizzard just so they can track me!
opens up gmail on my Windows PC while chatting with my friends on a phone that is constantly connected to my WiFi with several Google and Facebook apps running on the background, as I pay my bills with a debit card or bank transfer
Blizzard only wants to track you! Wake up sheeple!
People like you should get an extra phone, the blizzard app doesnt even need a phone number to function, i have it on my tablet that i play runescape on & draw
Im just saying if you are so paranoid, get a device where they can’t get your info, can’t teal your info if thre is none! Big broin
