They will be designed for the NA release with prepatch so if you update tomorrow on EU it will most likely break all of them since we won’t have prepatch.
A few of mine will be deleted tomorrow anyway. Bartender & moveanything off the top of my head
I will update them, thanks!
Very good PSA
With this massive update for ui, the best is to delete wtf and interface folders and to do clean download of addons after game patching is completed aka after reset.

anyone got a list of what addons wont be needed anymore?
We don’t believe in NA here.
That kinda sucks …
You might want to disable them while you evaluate the new UI. The new updates may not 100% replace the features provided.
You can load them as pout of date but remember - any slowness might be due to old or buggy addons!
It’s also a good idea to remember that all add-ons wont be undated until a few days after too.
Don’t do that. If you do that and then you install an updated version of an addon you will still keep using you will lose all your profiles data from data addon, like the historic logs of your kills in DBM, or profiles in many add-ons that you will need to configure again after reinstalling it.
It will be better to disable all your addons and once you install the update enable it again so those add-ons will be using the same profile data. There is no reason to believe those addons won’t be compatible with previous person WTF data.
For some addons that have not yet been updated, you can also try to test it by enabling it and in case it doesn’t work disable it again.
If you disable all your addons your game will work as if there is absolutely no addon installed. The interface and WTF folders of disabled addons are ignored by the game. And once you have updated the addon both the interface and WFT will have the updated version, without losing any of your profile data.
This is the one thing I love the NA playerbase for every Wednesday - they have to beta-test every patch and therefore every addon for us first.
I’ll be keeping all of my addons.
ElvUI is still so much better than the default HUD.
I don’t care for that. Bug-less UI> old records. I’ve deleted wtf, interface adn cache folders many times anyway.
Yeah, except there is no relation between bug-less UI and old records. That is why I tell you people shouldn’t delete their WFT folder, it absolutely serves no purpose.
I definitely wouldn’t delete my WTF folder unless I actually needed to. I would hate to have to set them all up from scratch again.
After testing the new UI on the PTR I can safely say … it only sucks a little less than the old UI. For me it would still be unplayable. So I cant think of a single Addon I wont need anymore.
Every change they made to the UI is half-assed. They either forgot something, or they stopped halfway through implementing a feature. Nothing works right. Not the Move Anything, nor the Mouseovercasting, or the Clickcasting etc…
I always copy out WTF, Interface and Cache to a separate folder on my drive before deleting the originals, that way I can always put them back. I actually copy them out approximately once a month as an addon backup
Digital hygiene is important for nice performance of computers. Copying folders with old junk and possibly corrupted files into clean client is ridiculous on so many levels.
That would be same if you are to drain oil from engine and then to pour that same dirty oil back in.
I was fully expecting them to add customizations to unit frames. At the very least, being able to remove the portraits and adjust the size of the health and power bars seems like a no-brainer addition to me.
I like that they’re doing things to improve the default UI, and it’s and improvement for sure, but it’s nowhere near good enough to make me stop using UI addons, or any addons really.
