I see this every time now. Rousing Earth were once sold for 45 g each in december. While inflation occurs throughout the game, it went to 20’ish until recently, where people keep undercutting it until its not down to only 10 gold each.
Rousing Earth was just an example, but the same thing is happening to anything else.
Is it because theres so many botters so they simply dont care they are ruining it for themselves and other people? It is almost not worth farming anymore because people keeps undercutting for no reason.
You dont sell your stuff faster, you are just cheating yourself and everyone else for gold.
When you set something for sale you get first in line. You selling it for 20 gold less means you earn 20 gold less where you could just have put it in for previous price.
People doing this are bots not caring for the price.
Except with the shared ah you wont have more customers even at higher prices your things sell extremely quick. often seconds after posting it. If it was the previous expansion i would agree. But with the shared ah on all servers undercutting really doesnt matter.
At that point the only thing undercutting manages is lowering the prices to absurd lows.
I can assure you, professional bot farms know how to maximize their profit. If they lower prices - then it gains them more profit than keeping the higher one.
Also the main reason the prices for rousing elements are lowering is most likely not undercutting because people playing the ah would try to buy them up and sell them higher.
Its because 2x4 bot groups are 24/7 farming elementals. So the ah is being flooded by a huge quanitity of them.
and theres the keyword. Bots. They need to sell low because they have massive quantities of the items. Normal people have no need to undercut because they are not selling 10 0000 of one item they got by cheating.
Botting is the issue the ah is flooded and prices dropping. Its not the undercutting part. Also players generally have gotten their crafted gear or unsibscribed already. So the player base buying these things also shrinks
whos the greedy ones? People expecting others to farm items for them for peanut prices, or people trying to make some gold.
Man imagine those greedy sweatshop workers in asian countries being so greedy and wanting a proper payment instead of having to work for a few coins. How greedy of those workers, think of the poor customers being ripped off for those tshirts and shoes. Same thing really.
its also supply and demand
peoples gathering level is going up, even those who hadn’t started the elemental gathering trees early have started filling it out and most have already figured out that perception is a very nice skill to focus on when gathering.
There will simply be a higher supply of rousing anythings as well, so logically, the price dips.
Most players I know don’t care about the AH players struggle. We take whatever benefit we get. We don’t care about bots flooding the AH with low prices and high quantity. We don’t care if it hurts your experience, because in return it doesn’t hurt ours.
This is not our problem. It’s yours and a minority ones of AH “I play this game like stock markets” people.
The greed arguement is a silly one on both sides.
I’m not going to spend several euro’s on a cup of coffee at starbucks when I can go to the store to buy a pack of coffee which costs me a few cents per cup.
Doesn’t mean I hate starbucks employees.
So basicly you approve cheaters like botters because you benefit of them. People like you think they won fairly in fps games because your teammate used aimbot. Whats the harm when its benefitting you right?
And this is not about AH players, its about normal people trying to make gold by farming herbs and mining. The most money you earn of this is from rousing elements. For some people the only reason they still play wow is because they can pay subscription trough gold. Make earning gold ingame possible and the only option will be rtm. wich is not healthy for a game.
bait and switch bots tends to post just 1 item at a low price and buy everything posted very lowly. So these dont really impact the economy that much. I’d say the 2 x4 bot groups farming rousing elements are far more harmful to the economy
No. I don’t. I only say “it is what it is” and just don’t care.
Now you are behaving silly, throwing accusations around.
You can still do that. It’s called “having competition” in a free market. Learn from mistakes, man.
Beware the audacity to have a game developer allowing such a feature in the first place that costs them potential revenue and still complain about people using said feature by exploiting it.
I don’t even know what you tried to say with that sentence.
I just had a thread about this folly, too, and in another thread a discussion with at least one person steadfastly refusing to see how they are hurting everybody’s interests, including their own.
Briefly summarizing the mass folly in a polemic way:
If 1000 people with zero patience want to sell an item, and the first person lists it for $9.99, then the 1000th person will offer it for free.
You think people are botting the hell out of the game for wow tokens? No, they are botting for rmt. Because of blizz dealing with bans having blizz balance from wow tokens is pointless. However the profit of rmt stays. I guess people like you have no issue buying wow gold for real money wether its rmt or wow tokens, since you seem so opposed to people being able to earn gold in game without that being ruined by bots.
"competition"cheaters shouldnt be concidered competition. Since they are botting. Blizz should be actively removing them for a healthy ingame economy. Or else they might as well remove gold completely from the game is cheating is fair game.
These botters are just as much “fair competition” as if i were to shoot a rival business man in the head.
There is the next accusation (that is btw. again miles away from the truth)…
Ah, tell that to all those companies that exploit workers, use child labor and such “strategies” to be massively competitive in the global market. I wonder how much they would laugh about your cry-babying about “market fairness” when you confront them with that point.
I am saying since I joined WoW and since I played Elder Scrolls Online, that Auction Houses shouldn’t even be a thing. Trading for gold removes fun and good behavior from the game and encourages exploitation, greed and bad behavior in the first place.
Everything money touches, it does corrupt over time. That’s a fact.
Oh yeah. Using automated software is for suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuure on the same level as straight murder on someone else.
With that comment, you lost all arguing credibility to me man. Feel free to live in your bubble. I won’t waste my time further with this silly mindset of yours.
